Guess I’ll have to earn a set of party plates as a workaround. Do they even still do those?

Quoted: I like my license plates like I like my women. Black and yellow. (I have the CA black plate reissues on two of my trucks and OG black plates on my car). ETA: Funfact, CA black plates aren't really black, they are very, very dark brown. One of those things I can't unsee now that someone pointed it out to me. View Quote I got the not as old as black but old school, original blue and yellow. Same plate for 34 years . |

Quoted: Worn paint in and around the alphanumeric plate ID may or may not prevent toll cameras from reading the plate. View Quote I never drive on toll roads. But they make you pay extra in Ohio if you want a new plate at registration time. So, I leave the old ones until they rot off. Because I don't give a fuck what their plate looks like. |

Quoted: Kinda seems like hard core liberals don't get elected governor either. Ted Strickland was pretty middle of the road, as far as Democrats go (especially modern ones). To me, that's sort of Ohio in a nutshell. It's aggressively average. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: A standard plate design so ugly I'd rather buy a vanity plate. I'll keep my current plates until they are rusty and illegible. Hard core conservatives don't get elected governor in this state, only mild mannered, smooth talking, meek RINOs. To me, that's sort of Ohio in a nutshell. It's aggressively average. He was always good on guns. That mortified many up state Democrats. Now he's just another liberal in a sea of them. |

I'll keep my old one especially since I have a brand new one I haven't used.
It'll be a long time before I need a new plate. |

They change their plates way too often. This is like plants #7 that I can remember.
I remember when they were white with bright blue letters. |

Quoted: Dupe They fucked up the plate too the airplane is wrong View Quote Why wrong? The Wrights flew at Kitty Hawk, but a lot of the stuff for their early planes were made in Dayton. A friend, and member here, owns a small machine from their bike shop, and likely made parts for planes. Not to mention one of the best aviation museums in the world at WPAFB. |

View Quote @Gewehr98 Look at this picture of the first flight. He’s flying away from the camera, so what looks like the “tail” is actually in the front of their plane Attached File Now look at the license plate and the plane that is flying a banner while flying. It’s backwards. |

Quoted: Gross. I was irritated when they went from the old white plates with blue lettering to the colorful scenic plate. I was glad they abandoned it for the current white plate. This one looks just as bad as the other one. View Quote Our current ones are fine and fairly simple at a glance so they're fine. This new design is just awful, and I really hate that dumb "OhiO" logo they started using where they capitalize just the o's for some reason. |

As an Ohioan, I get tired of us plastering the Wright Brother's plane onto everything.

I wish we could go back to the days of two color plates. Some color text on some other color background, and the state name in block lettering.
Old Colorado plates will always be my faves. |

Quoted: Quoted: Guess I'll have to earn a set of party plates as a workaround. Do they even still do those? He later spent about 6 months in jail after getting into a drunken fight with a deputy. Not real clear on what happened to his plates after that. I hope they found a good home. |

Quoted: Ted would have been a hard-core Republican in some states not named Ohio. I had plenty of differences with him but he always made sure I had his cell number, just in case. Yeah, I kept the Governor's personal cell number in my contacts. He's still a friend but has gone way over the Woke line since he decided to cash in on that sweet sweet Beltway money. He was always good on guns. That mortified many up state Democrats. Now he's just another liberal in a sea of them.
