Just out of curiosity I wanted to look up some statistics to see what was going on.

When I was online dating a lot in Seattle you'd come across this a lot.
Also the term "Ethically non-monogamous" which was kind of a funny one. It wasn't the worst thing in the world, just a way for progressive women to justify sleeping around. Of the newbies, some (many) have rocky or boring marriages, and these are the ones who tend to get divorced. So for these, they probably would have gotten divorced anyway, but swinging was their last hurrah.
