You should probably know a thing or two about guns before make a business out of it.

How many different forums are you going to spam with your bullshit product before you get banned by all of them?

All you guys ridiculing this, answer one question. How else is a man supposed to cut ropes on sailing vessels whilst boarding?
This is a serious innovation. Just think of how pirates could use this. |

Have you considered making a rail mounted BUTTERFLY knife? It'll look like some kind of stick mounted under the barrel, but then you push a button and flick your gun around and SURPRISE! There's a knife under there!

In this thread we learn how to turn a $100k investment into hundreds of dollars.

A thing a lot of people miss is that some people don't have the time or money or want to become tier one operators that can do back flips and hit a man in the head at 200 yard every time all the time.
People like my wife she has way too many things in her life that are more important to her than training with firearms. She is safe She is proficient as an average security guard (that's not a high bar) She is not a martial artist. Her home defense rifle and pistols both have bayonets on them... Why? not because they are super effective...but because it gives her confidence that a bad guy will have a harder time wrestling the gun away from here if it hase a sharp knife on the end. That's it a confidence builder and nothing else for 99% of situations. But that's enough of a reason for me to put them on her guns. |

Pistol bayonets are no where near as bad as people think
On a HD gun with an alloy or steel frame it would certainly make Bad-Guy's job much harder from contact distances. But yea OP probably shouldn't use a Glock as the reference photo, that lil plastic rail will crack in no time. |

But as others noted, a noob with 1 range trip per year would probably fare better in a home defense situation with one than without one. |

Every once in a while we get a new product suggestion that is A Great Question!

Dear Diary,
I don't have this and now I need this. Thanks again ARF |
|

Dont listen to the nay sayers OP...there are enough people that will buy this just because...

pretty useless
You want a usable product? Make a solid rail-mounted bayonet (or M16-style lug+stud for normal AR bayonets) so rifles with RIS and no beyonet lugs can have some stabby ability. |
|
since you have a prototype I think you owe it to us, and the world, to put 4 of them on the 4 sides of a rifle quad rail and take some pics.
|
|
I want four. All to be mounted on the same rail at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00.

Appreciate all the responses gents, very entertaining.
I think some of you are missing the concept, this IS a rail mounted bayonet, rail space isn't sacrificed as the underside of the mount has a rail, so yes, bayonets on bayonets if you wish, or a laser/flashlight/etc. Have a small batch of prototypes coming soon, don't have the same accesses to firearms as you guys do down south but I'll see if I can get my hands on an AR with a quad rail. Currently have a hand ground prototype blade attached to a bluegun, works surprisingly well as a throwing knife. |
|
Well a throwing knife attached to my pistol would make it 0.00034% more effective when throwing my pistol at the enemy. So, it gives me an advantage in the event I'm a pirate and it makes my pistol slightly more deadly when thrown, you've convinced me.

I don't think anyone has missed any point. I expect the only thing that is about to get railed is your business plan.
Might be popular amongst the airsoft shooters, they love Real Steel. Except they play at killing each with plastic knives. |
