At least according to the Enquirer.  It's obviously a tabloid, but they have turned out to be accurate when they broke stories about other presidential candidates like John Edwards, Gary Hart, and Jesse Jackson all the while most people immediately dismissed it as bullshit.

Could be interesting to see how it unfolds.






Update on 3/25/16:

As of this update none of the women alleged to have sex with Cruz have publicly confirmed it and some have denied it.

Cruz has denied it and has blamed it all on Trump.

There's evidence to suggest the story was peddled by Marco Rubio and his people before Marco dropped out of the race.

Drew Johnson, a columnist for the Washington Times,  tweeted: "COMING CLEAN: From what I know, at least 2 of the women named as Cruz mistresses by the National Enquirer are accurate"

In July 2015 a Ted Cruz super PAC, without public explanation, gave $500,000 to Carly Fiorina's.  At the time of the donation one of the women alleged to have sex with Cruz was working for Carly Fiorina.

If these allegations are true, some people think it might explain, at least in part, the police report in which Heidi Cruz was described as "a danger to herself" after police found her sitting near an expressway:




Update on 3/29/16

More evidence that the story came from anti-Trump camp and most likely Rubio.

At a press conference Ted Cruz dodged questions about whether he's "always been faithful" to his wife and instead had Carly Fiorina (the woman whom Cruz's super PAC gave $500,000 with no explanation) speak for him.  She claimed that to answer the question would be to "dance to Donald Trump's tune."

Heidi Cruz has abruptly canceled all New Jersey campaign stops this week.  She was scheduled to hold a fundraiser tomorrow as well as attend several campaign events in the state.  She has also cancelled two New York campaign stops as well.

As of this update Ted Cruz has not said that he will sue the Enquirer or anyone he believes to be associated with the allegations.

Amanda Carpenter (one of the alleged women) has odd tweets about dating married men and ones in which she calls Ted Cruz "daddy."  Also on the same day Ted Cruz was showing off a Winston Churchill temporary tattoo, Amanda Carpenter tweeted a pic of herself with the exact same temporary tattoo.

It's true.  Some of you regular denizens in the Trump threads know that a couple months back, Breitbart writer Allum Bokhari teased us on Twitter with what he called an "explosive" story about Ted Cruz.  However, a day later he said on Twitter that the story was held up in "editorial" - presumably former Breitbart editor and Cruz mega-supporter Ben Shapiro - and then the story just went away.  Bokhari stopped responding to inquiries about the story.  It was like it never even happened.

I'm certain Bokhari was ahead of the Enquirer on this one but Mr. Shapiro decided to protect his candidate over publishing the story.

I question the veracity of that in depth report.
