The one that defines a band, and is of extended length or has become an icon unto itself over time?

1.  The Who--Won't Get Fooled Again
2.  Led Zeppelin--Stairway to Heaven
3.  Lynyrd Skynyrd--Free Bird
4.  Derek and the Dominos--Layla
5.  The Beatles--Hey Jude
6.  The Eagles--Hotel California

Or, suggest?

I actually did not have room for that one.

Poll doesn't allow enough choices.

Of those, The Who and "Free Bird" are the only two I don't immediately turn off due to excessive overplay.

These are excellent pics. SFAM is one of my all time favorites. If concept albums count, I'd add The Human Equation and the Source from Ayreon. Also The Great Escape by Seventh Wonder which is based on the Aniara is one of my favorites as well 30 min long song and every second is amazing.

I joined this thread to say this but, op added "defines a band" to the criteria. And faith no more is too eclectic to be defined by any one song

"Us...

...and, Them..."

Easily.  Though the entire Dark Side of the Moon album qualifies as a single 'work' in my mind (I never listen to it as single tracks)
