Rubber on the antennas fell apart on these many-years old gmrs (now are frs radios) radios. Stretched out the spring antenna, covered with heatshrink, used hot glue to stabilize the base. Good enuf.

Quoted: Pretty much. Most of the time it goes like this: 1. Email person I think might know something. 2. They reply, copy someone else in. 3. Someone else replies, copy in a couple more people. 4. One of them replies to the group. 5. I email that final person. There's a knowledge base in ServiceNow, but it's mostly for level 1 stuff that gets handled by the help desk. Pretty much everything I need to address is kinda like "go fish". I finally got a document with most of the acronyms that are used in the company... It's 37 fucking pages long. On the one hand, I think they're adorable, clever, and fun, and I've always wanted one as a pet. On the hand, they're holy terrors who get into and/or destroy all kinds of things/small livestock, and I don't have any trouble understanding why people shoot them on sight. It may actually be that coons are one of the animals most similar to people in some ways, and therefore there is natural competition that has become ever more one sided. Yet they're now everywhere from Texas to Alaska, so they're not necessarily loosing lol |
