Yard hadn't been mowed in 2 weeks. Figured I'd get it cut tonight since there's a chance of rain starting tomorrow.
Got the front done, started on the side yard, and my body said FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE!  Hopefully it doesn't rain so I can get the back tomorrow. |

So I'm not sure if this is allowed here but I thought I'd share with you guys in case anyone is in the process of buying a new truck. This is certainly edc related to me. This picture was taken on 9-6-21 as I loaded my brand new silverado with less than 5k miles on it onto a flatbed to be taken back to the dealer.
They only just diagnosed it yesterday and just as I suspected 2 lifters have failed and a rod has bent. They are telling me it's going to be 4 to 6 weeks before the new parts even come in because GM is limiting the amount dealerships can currently order. I loved this truck and have never been this dissapointed in a company until now. They have offered to trade it in for another truck for me but of course they won't do an even swap. If you're looking at Chevy or GM right now I would wait till they've sorted their lifter distributors out. And if you're a Ford guy please go easy on me, I'm heartbroken. |
