Preferably over white paper.
How much crap came out? They are damn shit magnets. |
I did this last week before I shot half a can of compressed air into it. Yuck!!
I spilt Arizona green tea on mine, and quite a few of the keys got sticky. I popped 3 of them off (caps lock, tab, and `). Cant get them back on so now I have to hit the tiny little rubber deal that WAS under the keys! I usually do spray canned air in there once a month though...
Sorry, I'm fairly OCD about cleaning, so it's compress-aired once a week!
NO!!
I did that before, and its really gross. I buy new keyboards when my keys start sticking now. |
nah............when it gets really dirty and quits working, I throw the sonofabitch away and buy a new one.
I put a sneeze guard on mine a long time ago.
I sneeze a lot. |
Thats what cans of air from the local office supply store are for
ETA: nothing fell out of mine, I blow my off regularly as it gets cigarette ash on it. |
$23.87, 8 cigarettes, 6 rnds XM193, a hair scrunchee, 19 Cracker Jacks, a copy of "Swank,"and 1/2 a Reuben sandwich.

My sister does things the hard way.
Mind you I love her to death, but... she's... a CREATIVE ARTIST... She called me one day to tell me that she was coming over to my house to pick me up so I could take her to the local computer store to buy a new keyboard. "Why," I ask her. Big mistake. She told me that she'd spilt some coffee onto her keyboard. Then she blotted it up with a paper napkin and turned it upside down to let it drain. It didn't work. So then, she took it into the bathroom, ran some water into the tub and gave her keyboard a nice bath. It didn't work. So then she turned her hair dryer on the keyboard to dry it out. It didn't work. I won't even go into the details of the stove, other than to say: It didn't work. So I take her down to Frys (this was in Los Angeles, south of LAX) and let her talk to someone there who knows Apple computers. My next big mistake was letting her run free in the store, unsupervised: She bought a WHOLE NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM!!! Her old computer was so old, it was no longer supported. This was, like, 10 years or so ago. When Apple changed its computer systems more often than I changed my socks. She got her computer system home, hooked it up (with the help of a 12-year-old son) and guess what? It didn't work. |

Same here. |

Crumbs, dried jizzshots, cheese, pubic hair, and lots of dead skin.
There was a dead hooker in mine. You guys have all the luck.
If I turn my keyboard over and shake it, I would have to call the biohazard cleanup team. Way too many lunches at the computer.
Mmmmmm,
thanks, I was kind of hungry, that saved me a trip to the kicthen. Kind of dry though. And I think one piece was pencil lead |
I could have gone the rest of my life without being reminded that magazine existed. |
Damn! Mice and lizards fell outta mine!
Keyboards are indeed magnets for attracting stuff. Most of the debris is usually crumbs, as I spend lots of time eating by the computer. |
*turns keyboard* Happy meal circa 1988, ammo can containing bottle of jergen's and a rag that won't lose its shape, couple of RPG's, another keyboard, and an old Rick Roll VHS tape.... *puts keyboard back* Wow. I hope no one says to look under the bed.
no its fucking nasty I made the mistake of pulling a couple keys off once and saw the evil that dwells inside |
I do not even want to say what fell out of my laptop when i dropped it.
3 combs, a pencil, a toothbrush, 800 florida ballots voting for Al Gore(oops), something green that crawled back in on it's own accord and an illegal alien named paco.

Half a g of blow... |
I had no idea women had that problem too... |
I do it from time to time. There is SOOOOO much dead skin, bits of old food, dust and who knows what else from 9 years of use.
i used the same keyboard for about 10 years. i took it completly apart monthly and cleaned it by hand. every single key and all.
then some asshat come over and broke my keyboard beyond repair. i hate that fucker. i loved that keyboard. it was the first one i ever owned. none of those stupid windows keys or anything either. i can never replace my orginal keyboard, so now i just toss em when they get to dirty. |
