A MC-130 would be far more useful, and they have those stationed closer than the RC's.[/div] Shit, I forgot about those fellas. Do you know if they could hear the sound of turboprops, jets, or just nothing as it went by? Should help narrow it down. |

A squad of marines would have already kicked down the door to that cabin and the LEOs are calling in armored support... Make sure no hostage are in the building and burn it down. Like Waco? I'm sure the cabin owner would be thrilled about that. I'm more concerned about Constitutional issues vs Rambo thinking. He's a murderer on the run he can be killed by means necessary. |

I guess he'll still be alive by page 175. Seriously. If they have him surrounded, and there are no hostages, set up a perimeter and wait him out. Why risk anyone going in? I agree, but it appears LAPD isn't waiting for anything- and plans on bringing a tank to smash through the wall. Then they'll drop a bomb from a chopper to kill him. Then run over his body with the tank to kill him again. Then burn his dead body to kill him more. Then shoot hundreds of rounds in his lifeless body to kill him again. Then chop his head off, and put on a silver platter for the Commissioner. Then cut his heart out for the dead man's chest. Then - they'll start torture. I fear you are correct. Doing so will martyr him (to his moonbat followers) Tactical says kill him. Strategic says try him (and hopefully fry him) Their actions may create a bigger can of worms. Not good. |

I see this shit happening a lot in the future. Sorry, we're shutting down the internet, it's aiding terrorists. IIRC there was some government type organization that shut down cell reception or something so there was no coordinating. |

Regarding all this searching they are talking about, what are your rights if they come to your door and say they want to search your cabin for Dorner and you say "Fuck you get a warrant"? If they aren't in hot pursuit, they have to get a warrant. Likely would apply to car trunks too... |

The cops are being a little 'skiddish' about it... If he's in there, what's the rush? He'll run out of food and water long before the cops will. California is already bankrupt, so it's not like this will matter. Besides, it's not Dorner's cabin. You want the Po-Po blasting some fugitive in your living room? Hell yeah, the tourist rental price would be phenomenal. |

"EXIGENT CIRCUMSTANCES FOR OFFICER SAFETY" A search is reasonable, and a search warrant is not required, if all of the circumstances known to the officer at the time, would cause a reasonable person to believe that entry or search was necessary to prevent physical harm to the officer or other persons/the destruction or concealment of evidence/the escape of a suspect, and if there was insufficient time to get a search warrant.
