This is about as discreet as I get. Loading 5-15 guns in the truck to go to the range isn’t discreet.

A flashy sports bag or instrument case is a bad idea, as thieves are drawn to that stuff. Something black and without much detail is more likely to be missed if they scan the interior through a window, especially if they're trying to stay hidden and looking through a tinted window. Or it's night time.

So ya...

Maybe.  A $20 Wilson tennis racket bag doesn't seem like anything worth breaking in for.  But if they do catch a glimpse of some mysterious black bag I would wager they take a chance.  I suppose it depends on your location.  When my job sent me to San Francisco many years ago my coworkers warned me that the street folk would smash your window if they saw ANYTHING in your car.

My interior is black. 2015 Jeep Cherokee. Helps me with my specific method more than even a $20 racquet bag. I have one of those exact bags, and a M85 OPAP lives in it.

But most of these bags people are showing look high end, or at least delux.

One guy's suggestion even had molle. lol

With your black interior you're probably in good shape, certainly at night.

It wasn't cheap, but I bought larues bag after seeing it here.

I can fit a 16" broken down, and my 8.3" doesn't have to be broken down. I like it because of how modular the straps are, I can easily switch between several different setups that I've used it for without anything bouncing around. The mag pouches are a nice touch too, and it's really well made.

My 11.5” with SBA3 brace fits in this case. The quality is good, as well.

Anything longer will need to be broken down to fit.

While it is no longer an issue for me. I used a non gun case to move firearms to my vehicle to keep people from assuming there were firearms at my house/apartment not to store them unattended in my vehicle

I have the same Bulldog case.  AR has to be in 2 pieces but it's discrete.
For those looking at them, it's a great case.

Are we talking complete ars or taken down?

I can take down my 16inch ar and move it in a 40 quart cooler, if I'm not taking it down, I use a 104 or a 120 quart.

THIS

I started using a large HEAD tennis racket case to carry my carbine back in the 1980s.  I got the idea from seeing Secret Service guys carrying their M-16s/M-4s that way going through several airports after Reagan visits.

Always funny to hear the security people ask "You're Secret Service, right?" when their cases would go through the x-ray machines.  I'm sure today TSA would freak out with SS agents traveling and carrying their weapons that way.
