The 71 'Cuda.
First time I saw one was in a cheesy 80's horror movie but it made an impression. At the time I thought it was the most bad ass looking car I'd ever seen. Sadly by the time I was old enough to do anything about it they were already priced through the stratosphere. You can't even pick up a rotted out shell that's basically being sold for the VIN plate for less than $10k now. A close second would be the 68 Charger. Just a gorgeous car. I had a 70 for a while but would have swapped for a 68 in a heartbeat. |

'70 Chevelle is my fav. My mother used to tell me stories about all the cars her and my father had back in the 70s that they either sold off or rusted away in the Buffalo winters. Plymouth, Buicks, Olds, Dodges, Pontiacs, all late 60s early 70s cars. View Quote Dad had had some cool old Mopars in high school including a 70 Superbee 440 six pack and a 69 Roadrunner that was an original Hemi car but somebody pulled the motor and swapped it with a 383 at some point. Again, they were just cheap used cars back then. Wish I knew what happened to the photo albums with those pictures after grandma died. |

I am fortunate enough to have most of my favorites:
‘70 Challenger (being restored, perpetually) ‘70 Barracuda #s 383 4 speed ‘70 Barracuda non #s stroked 440+6 ‘69 Superbee #s 383 4 speed ‘70 Superbird #s 440 727 I’d like to add a ‘68 Charger R/T next, but that will be a while. Of course, I’d prefer all of them to be of the numbers matching Hemi variety, but hey. |

It's a tossup for me, between an Ermine White '66 SS396 Chevelle, or a Canary Yellow '72 SS454 El Camino. https://www.hotrodplanet.com/sites/default/files/2017-02/hot-rod/1966-chevelle-super-sport.jpg https://0.cdn.autotraderspecialty.com/1972-Chevrolet-El%20Camino-american-classics--Car-101050449-83bd3ecf240c1c0c9b05c79285e5f497.jpg?w=735&h=551&r=pad&c=%23f5f5f5 View Quote |

Yes Sir!!

I don't view the AC Cobra as a "muscle car." It's a roadster. Don't get me wrong. I love them and they are badass. Just not what I think of when I think muscle car.
Oh, and LOL and the Supras and other imports. Yes, I know what they are capable of. Spent a lot of my younger years at the drag strips. NOT "Muscle Cars." |

Aston Martin Vantage - the 585hp one based on the Virage in the 90s. Yes, it’s a muscle car.
ETA: or a 1961 Chrysler 300G Coupé. It might qualify as an early muscle car. |

My dad has a 67 Chevelle SS that his mother bought in 69. He also has a 69 Z28 Camaro that I drive occasionally.

Mom had a 70 Chevelle LS6. It was the car they brought me home from the hospital in as a newborn. I've got a picture of her holding me in front of it. According to dad though the original 454 had been pulled after an oil pump failure caused it to lock up. It got replaced with a 350 out of a pickup. At the time it was just a cheap used car that nobody wanted because the fuel gauge could be confused with the speedometer as fast as they moved. Dad had had some cool old Mopars in high school including a 70 Superbee 440 six pack and a 69 Roadrunner that was an original Hemi car but somebody pulled the motor and swapped it with a 383 at some point. So many good ones in this thread. Here’s mine if I had to choose: (Couldn’t find a good pic) https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/448063/EC0CB434-2F65-4429-93AC-826F38A69E96_jpeg-1127092.JPG View Quote So many good options though it’s hard to say which would be my favorite but that year GTO was awesome. |

I had a 69 Camaro in HS and it is still my favorite. I've had a few since then, but I wished I still had my first one.

Some nice cars mentioned although not all of them fit the definition of "musclecar."
Mine would be the 1970 LS6 SS454 Chevelle that I no longer own. Even though I was a Chevy fan at the time I loved all of 'em. Super Duty Pontiacs, Mopar Max Wedge/Hemi, 427 Fairlanes, etc. My old racing partner had a Boss 429 Mustang. |

You guys suck at this. There is only ONE..... The Baldwin Motion Camaro. It was GUARANTEED to run 11s off the showroom floor or they would give you your money back. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/93/87/0f/93870f6a12e7575889ca422736944a7f.jpg View Quote |

Rarest of the rare muscle cars. IIRC they only made 17 of them. Last one I saw for sale went for well over $1,000,000 at auction. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Surprised it took 3 pages. Baldwin Motion was fucking NUTS. They built so many insanely fast cars that the government found a way to close them down using some kind of bullshit zoning laws. Or something to that effect. They were the ultimate. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
