Explanation of wtf is going on in these? Who are they sniping at 100 yards with a parade behind them? Is that integrally suppressed 22lr? In all honesty, I would like to know this answer as well. Was it really because they want to cut down on civilian casualties since it won't penetrate a human body or break through a mud hut? The guy a the gun store wasn't sure which reason it was, or if it was both reasons. He also informed me that this is why we don't have much 22lr anymore. View Quote Dude, did he really say that? I love everyone behind the designated marksman. He's thinking "I'm down, using cover, got the suppressor on and Colibiri in the pipe. Tactical as Sheol. Now I just need to ... Fuck. There's like 15 dudes standing up behind me aren't there?" View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Somehow, I would find kneecapping a dude with a silenced .22 in a riot situation,
great stress release. |

The psychology is excellent though, any good Pali would gladly take a bullet in the shoulder or the hip and show it off like a great war wound, but get shot in the nuts or lose your pecker, well... that changes everything. |

What got my interest was that the IDF was using it as a nonlethal riot control . . . And then found it was more lethal than they thought. |

Yes, and it came straight from soldiers overseas that were honest with him. So, did they just switch to .22LR conversion kits, or did the switch to something that has a more suitable bore diameter and twist rate like a 10/22? And if so, is this why the 10/22 takedowns were so difficult to find last year? Since M16 bullets tumble in flight, I imagine .22LR was a welcome switch for our troops. Did their qualification scores increase? I bet they did. I recently shot a 25 meter scaled timed-fire target with an AR and 10/22. My scores were slightly better with the 10/22, even on the "300M" silhouette. It's proper field testing like this that gives me supreme confidence, knowing that if I ever have to engage a target at 200 meters with my 10/22, I'm going to kick ass. Good enough for our boys in Afghanistan, good enough for me ... I always say. Now, if only I had some of this awesome .22LR ammo of which your LGS guy speaks. By any chance, did he have a couple of bricks stashed away in the back room marked at the reasonable price of $85 / brick? |
