I won't receive any Trump bucks. I'm retired and make to much to qualify.

Quoted: Now we get to see the hypocrites that hate welfare, except when they qualify for it. View Quote Since it is a one time payout sent out by the IRS based on taxes paid I see it as a refund not a welfare handout. You have to sign up for welfare to get welfare. I've never signed up for welfare and never taken any. |

Considering I depend on lawn season this time of the year and the government just burned down the economy, yes I'll take the money. I'm still currently doing whatever brush clearing, lawns, and cleaning rain gutters that I can get though, and will continue to do so.

Quoted: Clearly, you have no experience with the green button. But maybe your time is so cheap that it doesn't matter. For me, my time is too valuable to NOT have the green button. But you do you. View Quote If you consider your time spent on a message board to be valuable instead of inherently wasteful and justify spending real money on it as some form of investment then I can't tell you anything you'd understand. Carry on. |

75k before the phase out begins? LOL Attached File
I jacked my work 401k contributions way up last year to keep my student loan interest deduction after a decent raise at the end of 2018. Guess I'll throw muh trump bux into some risky stock. |

I don't think I qualify.
But if I did, I would spend it on hookers. |

Do you see me crying about it? After all your bitching and using this stimulus as an attack angle against Trump you better be burning that check or you're a hypocrite and a "socialist" by your own words. |

At this point I no longer care. I used to be completely against welfare of any variety but now? If you get welfare, disability, house money, WIC, SNAP, stimulus bucks, whatever I do not care. The system is broken and we're just coasting down the cliff, there's no fixing it outside a complete reboot.

This place has become such a shitty garbage pit.
Fuck everyone. |

Not returning it, already bought a pistol with it. (S&W 25-5)

I pay into the system.
Government actions are causing me to miss out on overtime I usually get. The Trump bucks is roughly the amount I will miss out on. I don't give a fuck about abstract bullshit like "muh priciples". |

The system is broken and we're just coasting down the cliff, there's no fixing it outside a complete reboot. View Quote It all derives from income tax which should never be taxed, and if it absolutely had to should be a low, flat tax with no exceptions and unable to be raised without a supermajority vote of both the House and the Senate subject to annual renewal. Consumption tax is likely the only way to be fair about it, and liberals/progressives hate the idea of a consumption tax so that should tell you it's likely the right direction to go. The root problem is that taxation has become a tool of control as the wealth of some are used to buy the allegiance of others via the manipulation of who gets what breaks. |

I dont like it but Ill turn it down just as soon as the corporations turn down their bailouts that will be coming with it

This is really simple. We were already running a trillion dollar FY deficit before the virus. This ‘refund’ most Americans will receive is just more deficit spending/money printing by our socialist government in an attempt to save the economy. This isn’t Your money that you paid in.

I may add it also makes zero sense to continue to vote for these Fuckers to kick the can down the road. Rest assured there will be plenty of Mush minds trying to convince people to continue to vote for the cucks. |

I’m definitely not getting any trump bucks. If I were eligible, I would follow my principles and take the money. I don’t judge people for taking things they are eligible for, I judge people for voting for/supporting it.

And for the record, I've sent back unemployment, about six weeks worth, but I kept the Obamacheck in 2008. View Quote You mean get back a tiny portion of the taxes the government took from me in the first place? Yeah, if they offer to give me back money they took from me I'm keeping it. I won't be eligible though most likely. |

Fuck that. I will take any nickle the .gov is giving back to me that they stole.
|

I made 600k last year. I get sba loans, rest of america gets a handout.
|
|
|
Full disclosure: I don't need the money, and I doubt I will qualify.
But if I get it, I'm donating all or nearly all to a handful of charities that I support. My tax money in their hands is 87x better than in the govt's hands. |
|
I make too much money so I won't get any. I can assure you I will be paying it out though. Free money doesn't come out of nowhere.
|
|
I'm unemployed, but since it's based on 2018 taxes, I'm not eligible for a tax refund.

View Quote So taxation isn't theft? Should we all sacrifice our whole paycheck to help get the country out of debt? You're complaining like we're discussing whether or not we're going to vote for it. The decision wasn't made by us. For the record, I don't think I get any, but I think its really dumb to criticize people for getting their hard earned money returned to them, especially considering so many people here believe it should have never been taken from them in the first place. |

Everyone in the country could burn their check but that wont stop the other 1.7 trillion getting spent. You might slow down the eventual crash and buy a few more years, but the crash will happen all the same.

I'll refuse any amount of stimulus check that is in excess of the amount I pay in taxes....otherwise it is just an additional refund.

We won't be getting anything, but we'll certainly be paying for it.
