The video is hilarious.
Also, while I own 2 AKs (Arsenal Saiga and a Kaznar Underfolder) I can definitely agree that they are dated rifles that don't hold a candle to the AR15. Would I have taken an AK47 in 1950 vs. an M1 Garand... sure. But nowadays I own it as a collector's item. |

HOGWASH!
All of you haters are mad because you missed the boat. I have collected for near 20 years. Ar's and mostly AK's. The value or profit from my ak buying spree has increased well over 100% and more. My ar's, green label carbines and sp1's not so much. Sure, what would I grab and go? not the ak. don't hate the game, hate the player...uh wait. nevermind |

Best of both worlds (at least until I can afford a SIG551)?

Yes, GD thought me that projectiles actually gain altitude after leaving the muzzle, the one exception being the 7.62x39. Those things take a nose dive upon exit, that’s the reason they aren’t capable of hitting targets out past 40 meters. |

If shtf my main rifle would be my polytech AK folder. I have thousands of rounds of ammo. This rifle eats everything and has never had a ftf or jam. 1000% reliable.
I do have ARs. When I ran out of ammo for my AK then I would default to the AR as ammo would be easier to find. A good AK is as good or better than any AR I have owned. I am sure there are a lot of garbage AKs out there and same with ARs. Everyone should have a good AK in their arsenal Yes I know China is asshole Not proud of where my AK came from but it is a machine! |

It was an excellent weapon in 1947. But that was 73 years ago.
It's still quite serviceable today, but there are much better options available IMHO |
|
The AK is a good weapon system. It is reliable, easy to clean and maintain, inexpensive to produce and fires a decent power round.
As a rifle, it is meh. Combat accurate at best, heavy and cheap. The AK was designed so a bunch of soldiers with minimal training could keep them running and that same big group could all fire one way, creating a hail of firepower. I own one, they are fun to shoot and would be fine in a SHTF, assuming you can find ammo after awhile. |

Whatever, I enjoy AKs
ARs are way more reliable than every AK snob thinks they are AKs are way more accurate than every AR snob thinks they are I wouldn't want to stand within 600m of someone who is proficient with either and who wants me dead |

If only Red Jacket was still in business. Their AK's were Tier 1 bad-assery. The grip alone was something that had never been dun be'fo.

AKs were barely ok when you could buy or build them for $200-300.
Its like having a old 303 just to say you have it, but only get it out to show someone who has never held one. |
