Have always fought with centering blades. Finally figured out after all these years that if start with everything loose with the blade closed and overtighten the pivot slightly first then do the body screws it seems to make things easy. The pivot can then be loosened to your preference without losing the center. I'm sure most of you know this but even watching knife teardown videos etc. it was never obvious to me.
 The 0640 actually came rather off, and the kwaiken was a bit off after the scales were done.

A pack of Sonoran flour tortillas are like $1. A press is $40 or so. Just buy the tortillas for now it’s easier.
Since you found that winged servant of satan, this was written yesterday in Reddit: Lucky you. I have been stung a few times by hairies, twice by barks, and once by a tarantula hawk. The hairies are like a mild bee sting. The barks are painful, kind of electric with muscle spasms. The hawk was like being injected with a hypodermic needle of lightning lava, burning and nonstop for a few hours. Absolutely terrible. I mean it is a bit, bit to each their own. The pain was the worst for like 3-4 hours, then it mellowed out to merely excruciating for the next day. Coupled with a bad headache and nausea. A few years later I got the same leg impaled by a fence post, and this was worse. It also was far worse than just being stabbed, which I have experienced also. |
