My most common complaint about tamales is too little meat in them. I realize that historically they probably had very little meat, but it's the 21st century now, let's full that things up! I'd probably want a 50:50 meat to corn ratio if given my druthers. |

Hmmm, like mine a lot, other than after RBB pointed out it wont drop shut pretty much no matter how you try because your thumb gets in the way before it clears the detent. Handled processing a deer nicely. The next one is an 0470 with a micarta aftermarket scale. |

A pack of Sonoran flour tortillas are like $1. A press is $40 or so. Just buy the tortillas for now it’s easier.
Since you found that winged servant of satan, this was written yesterday in Reddit: Lucky you. I have been stung a few times by hairies, twice by barks, and once by a tarantula hawk. The hairies are like a mild bee sting. The barks are painful, kind of electric with muscle spasms. The hawk was like being injected with a hypodermic needle of lightning lava, burning and nonstop for a few hours. Absolutely terrible. I mean it is a bit, bit to each their own. The pain was the worst for like 3-4 hours, then it mellowed out to merely excruciating for the next day. Coupled with a bad headache and nausea. A few years later I got the same leg impaled by a fence post, and this was worse. It also was far worse than just being stabbed, which I have experienced also. |
