I finally got a Mercator K55K Black Cat, been wanting one since the 1950's.
It is well made and works as it should. Slicing paper is easy for the stock sharpness. There were a few places that might wear out pocket fabric, but some enjoyable time with a Japanese micro file fixed that. It's very satisfying to open, close, to look at and to use the K55, it is an excellent fidget toy! Like other knives the K55 is both an art object and a tool. |
