Oregon has some radical gun control measures going out for signatures this year. If they get enough signatures, they get put out for vote in November. I've been hoping that all of the recent crap here and in Ukraine will make people less inclined to ask for more restrictions on 2A. Unfortunately, voters in Portland and Multnomah County aren't very good at common sense.

No disrespect to those afflicted with some form of retardation at birth, but we know it's not capable of being corrected by science or medicine. I feel the mental disorder of many/most of those on the left are similarly afflicted. And while it's not the same medical and/or genetic failure, it is some kind of short circuit affecting rational thinking to a degree that doesn't seem to respond to logic.
So...do I think the truly "woke" will wake up even in light of real world events that challenge their ideology? For the most part, No. Perhaps in that last split second when the crazed, multi-convicted, recently released, violent criminal plunges that knife deep into their chest...or the tank treads of a despot nation is crushing the life out of them...or they lose the scramble for those last crumbs of food in the empty grocery store...maybe, just maybe a dim light bulb will go off. I have too many high school classmates who still have their heads up their asses when it comes to the fact that we are in serious trouble. Many of them are considered "educated" with bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees but still are stupid as shit when it comes to the current events in this country.
