Probably.   However Holographic Charizard lives on.

Holographic Charizard could blow up 2 Tigers with a Glock.

That's not really a huge deal, unless he never feels like battery swapping but also desires to play and have save data for a 20 year old game, but I mean he's in the clear to emulate, and for an old gameboy game, I don't know why you wouldn't emulate at this point, outside of specific cases that don't involve "just playing the game normally for fun" anyway.

I was showing my friends son my game boys I still have the other day. I Still have my original dmg 001, pocket, and color. He Couldn’t believe how small and hard to see the original screen was.

My son gets pissed the flat screen TV isn't touch screen.

It's incredible how tech has corrupted us.

I mean he can, and for a hand held game, running on original hardware isn't a big thing, but I've got to be honest, I've not broken out my legacy hardware in a long time. Running anything that uses component cables on a modern T.V. makes my eyes bleed, and my CRTs are long gone. If I ever have the free space and money to piece together a dedicated legacy room, I'd like to, but right now I don't.

Yeah you right. We can pretend we got it from the future.

It sort of is.   Memories of long car rides and shitty vacations.

I think people chase that more than the games themselves.

What is a glimpse of your childhood worth?

Of course it never adds up or delivers.

Not the point.

The only television in my home is from around ‘08. It was one of the first flat screens. But it still weighs 87lbs and has the giant back on it. We don’t watch much tv.

No, I meant it's not hard to do relative to consoles. You still just put batteries in it and turn it on in 2020, just like you did in '96, and it looks, plays and sounds the same.

Jury rigging a console to work on a 4K T.V. is a PITA, and that's what I'm saying isn't worth it.

It's amazing how many people saw SPR and think that's what happened.
