... And it's basic human greed.

Ran into a late 40s liberal white woman yesterday, and her logic made my head spin.

Apparently, her husband died several years ago and she's left to take care of her two kids. She was bragging that she gets "$6k a month" in Social Security but would lose some/all of it if she becomes gainfully employed* or gets married. So that's not happening.

She also said she's getting a new Tesla because of "The tax credits" ($5k state / $7.5k federal). Shameless.

*Before her husband died she was a successful realtor making good money (according to her). She was also gloating about the multiple properties that she owns in another state.

It reminds me of another white liberal I know who was whining that he might have to use some of his HSA money to cover a medical bill.  So... he has the money already saved to pay medical bills, but he didn't want to use "his own money" to pay it.

Social safety nets are supposed to exist to take care of the needy and "less fortunate" not enrich people who don't really need it.  We have already run out of "other people's money" but yet this trend is going to continue.

The wealthier ones believe that, if they vote in a policy that requires my tax dollars to be directed to a cause they want funded, they have donated money to their cause. I’m pretty certain leftists donate money to politicians and political groups and normal people donate money to support a cause.

Right. I've often believed this is where liberal logic is flawed (well, one of many places).

Conservatives give money to causes they want to support

Liberals want to direct other people's money to causes they want to support

One is charitable giving, the other is fake virtue.

I used to work with a very intelligent leftist. His logic went like this: "Birdbarian, you and I are both smart, but a lot of people aren't, so we have to take care of them." His wife is old school big Atlanta money, and an assistant DA in one of the metro counties. They live in Decatur across the street from Chip Carter, Jimmy's son. Fortunately, they have not procreated.

Unfortunately, some of Jimmy's kids did procreate.

My conclusion as well based on the anecdotal evidence I've seen . . . liberals see themselves as smarter than almost all other people out there AND feel so inclined to know better for people than they assume those others would for themselves.

Unfortunately, the dick-measuring contest among liberals is how much they "help" others so you have this never-ending desire to take money from the collective and then brag about what you did. They have nothing else in life that gives them as much meaning therefore the battle will ALWAYS be there.

There's a food bank nearby and it's very common to see brand new Lexus, BMWs, and other expensive cars parked and their drivers loading them with food from that bank.  I once asked there whether they did a check to see if the people getting the food really need it.  The answer was that they "did not want to embarrass anyone", so they just hand out food to whoever asks for it.

Liberals are parasites by nature.  It's what they are.

That's how our local food bank operates also.  A blank check for the mooches taking what is intended for the needy.

I watched a documentary over 20 years ago where the author interviewed several ultra-rich individuals to ask what was their life goal after amassing fortunes that would last several descendant generations.  Most said that they wanted to make "impactful changes in society" and by so, they started forming organizations, clubs, etc. to get together and "help those who cannot think for themselves and drive those changes".   Do any infamous organizations come to mind?

By the way, I watched an interview with Trump, around that time, where he said the same thing when the reporter asked him what was one of his important life goals.

1 + 1

That makes easy to verify why those "socialist" regimes (that usually drive massive wealth concentration) end up all failing when other people's money come to an end.

This has to be the most accurate description I have ever heard concerning what liberals are.

Although I would have to add they are a cancer that needs to be eradicated

I don't know if he is liberal or not but I overheard a guy talking about a method for scamming the (GI bill)?

Enroll in a college in San Francisco (highest COL)
Attend classes online
Physically show up 1 day per semester (fly in/fly out same day)

According to him, he gets $5k / month because of San Francisco instead of $2k/month for Denver area.

He also later said he got busted for using ChatGPT to write his papers

Most liberals fit into a few categories in terms of how they view money:

1.) I will never have any real money in the rest of my life and I am Ok taking others money. I will justify it because rich people bad.
2.) I am a 'moral liberal' and liberalism is my religion.  I justify taking other people's money because we have an obligation to help others. (often mainstream religion reenforces this idea)
3.) I am a 'rich liberal'. I am liberal because I have never had to worry about money and giving some away makes me look and feel good.
4.) i am a 'rich liberal' who may believe in helping others but more so knows how to play the political game of appearing liberal for my own gain or to pay a penance for my rich status.
5.) I am an 'elite liberal and smart' I have always had the liberal system work out well for me and have never seen it fail other than due to lack of committed resources.  I believe I am important to the system and will it always be good to me. I am true believer.

There are more but this covers a lot of liberal thought.

Looking at this list, I definitely know of people that fit into 1, 2, and 3.

I think 3 has a heavy dose of naivete along with a dash of luck and/or support along the way. There are plenty of people today who's parents guided and coddled them through high school, college, and even into their 30s.
Heck, I know people in their 30s that still live with their parents, and their parents pay for their cell phone, car insurance, etc.

Another example that is happening today, Dr Jill is taking a separate flight to Atlanta for tonights debate. That is a huge waste of taxpayers money and added frustration for Atlanta motorists with 2 different motorcades blocking traffic an hour apart.

A lot of liberals I know also have a deep set jealousy of someone doing better than they are.

Instead of recognizing and admiring the hard work that made that person a success, and use it as an example to aspire to, they consistently grumble about “fair share” and look for ways that person should be brought down to the liberal’s level, such as supporting people sucking on the gov’t tit.

It's not just Liberals, it's the RINOs as well.
My tax dollars go to fund wars in Ukraine, Israel, Syria, as well as CIA backed regime change agendas.
They also go towards promoting LGBTQ2A+ agendas in the Middle East and Africa.
Speaking of Africa, my tax dollars are stoking the AIDS industry, funding warlords, and making sure white people are hated everywhere on the planet.
Here at home, my tax dollars are supporting millions of illegal immigrants who seem to be melting into the American landscape and effacing our history and culture.
My tax dollars are also promoting ghoulish lifestyles and effeminizing our workplaces and military.

I am the American taxpayer, the most dangerous person in the world.

Spoiler: Damn near everyone wants more discretionary time and luxury, and nobody really cares who actually makes it possible, regardless of how they vote or worship. The way you feel about the people in your examples is the same damn way people feel about business owners and employees. Very few people work for free, and fewer truly want nothing for themselves or their family. I really don't understand how people don't know this and/or can be exposed to any part of society and not see it everywhere.

And they also have no concept of basic economic principles.  There’s a set amount of money and people without can only get it by having it taken from people who have more.  These people don’t think dimensionally when it comes to social issues and the have nots only want to get more either by doing nothing or as little as possible.  Everything is in the simplest analysis possible, ignoring details or unintended consequences.  I’ve debated some of them and proved to them the negatives that come out of their actions and it always ends up as “Well, we need to do SOMETHING.”, even if they know ahead of time that it won’t work.  There is literally no way to have an intelligent or productive conversation with people like this because it’s the equivalent of an adult attempting to reason with a five year old.

That's completely bogus.

During the Obama and Biden years, they loved to fund green energy corporations that lost a bunch of gov't money and then folded the second the subsidies ran out. Solyndra is just one of many examples. Billions of dollars wasted.
Liberal governments also fund a bunch of NGOs to do all sorts of stupid and/or dubious things like promote COVID vaccines and champion social justice.

Corporate welfare. Both political parties are guilty of it.

It's not a scam, it's intentional so you're not restricted to your own area for education. The costs vary from school-to-school (sometimes those materials for classes are based on local school prices not residency of the student) and so the GI bill goes by the zip code of the school, not the student. The rates are also different based upon whether the student is full-time or partial.

Under the GI bill, your classes are covered and you receive BAH based upon the zip code of the school, to cover additional costs over the individual tuition and the costs of living based upon full-time student status. In the case of San Fran, it's about $4-5k/month. Where I'm at, BAH is $1400.

I know a guy like this.

He seems to think he's awesome and can't understand why his life isn't panning out like he wants. It's obviously everyone else's / the systems fault. If he isn't succeeding, it's because the system is wrong.

He's flunked out of college, he went out of business, now he's working a not so good job. He's a big Bernie supporter and thinks the wealthy should be taxed at 90 percent.

Sounds like a scam to me.
Receive BAH for living in San Francisco. Live somewhere else, pocket the extra cash. "Attend" a school by flying out once a quarter. A lot of schools are moving to online, the BAH thing doesn't make sense anymore.

Then again the military does turn out a lot of lite-socialists.
