I'll be deep in the cold, cold ground before I recognize Missouri.

August 10 is also the anniversary of the battle of Wilson's Creek, the first major battle of the Civil War west of the Mississippi. Happened near Springfield, MO in 1861.

I'm not a native, but been here 32+ yrs. MO has a lot going for it as far as gun laws and general personal liberty go, if you overlook a couple of festering pustules on the edges and a big progressive college town in the middle. Good state overall. |

I know it’s petty, but when MO came out with the bicentennial license plates, the state announced an extra fee to pay for the new design. Thats dumb.

Lived in the bootheel for a short while. Great state! Happy birthday!

About 20 years later, my family arrived there from Germany and about 20 years after that they were shooting at each other in the Civil War.

It was so that vehicle owners would pick up the tab. Which means that shit should’ve been put to a vote, not left to the pork feeders in Jeff City. Again, probably petty. |

Well, here’s the deal. Plain and simple we’re the best there ever was.

A cause for celebration! I escaped the People’s Republic of Illinois over 30 years ago and moved across the river to Missouri. One of the best decisions ever. Love this State minus the libtard commies in St. Louis County.

Missouri is a beautiful place and one of freedom's last holdouts.
I'm glad I was moved here and raised here as a kid. |
