Just got a used Tundra 2020 TRD Pro with 18" wheels. The current tires suck and love to spin, even on dry roads. Looking for the best performance on street/pavement. Willing to upgrade to 20" wheels if needed. This truck will most likely get a supercharger. Which is why pavement traction and performance is the priority, and we want it to handle more like our sportier cars.
Coming from performance cars/SUVs was looking at Continental DWS06's but they don't come in truck flavors.  New Tires! Michelin Defenders. Tried for the Continentals first, but they are a PITA to find instock locally. Had the Michelins next day.   |

You bought an off road focused truck...
For what you want to do, you probably want to look at highway all season tires: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=HAS The Michelin Defender LTX M/S is one of the best general purpose truck/SUV tires out there for high mileage drivers. The next one on my shopping list would probably be the Continental TerrainContact H/T. For lower mileage and budget situations, the Firestone Destination LE2/LE3 seems to be an underrated option. |

For non off-road use the the Michelin Defender LTX MS is the only answer that also does really well with the occasional snow or downpour.

But those handful of times mean the difference between a white knuckle might make it home ride vs. just going slow and letting the car work. Don't feel bad about buying a capable vehicle even if you only need it sporadically. When you need it you need it. |

Nokian Rotiva are pretty good All-Around tires. quiet, long mileage.
I am currently running some Falken AT3W, so far working very well: great in deep snow, slush, standing water, and very surprisingly: QUIET on dry pavement... Like 'em so much, I ordered up an extra set of 4.... and the NEW set of Falkens are fucking CHINESE, which pissed me off.. Last year they were made in the Phillipines. |

FWIW, that truck came from the factory with Michelin LTX. I'm assuming the first owner either wore them out, or "upgraded" to what appear to be some cheap ass mud terrains.

Had the Duratracs on my 4Runner and they were ok. Good in heavy snow but not great on went pavement. They were also loud , but I didn’t care.
Just put on the falken wild tracks and they are much different. Quiet and appear to have good road traction. The weird thing is the sidewalks seem less stiff so there is an odd feeling going from the dura to this in the way it handles. |

Dibs on your BBS wheels!
I can't helpnwith tired but will say that my Patagonia MT's have much better traction on road than my Cooper Discoverer ATs3 tires did. If you're supercharged, look in to dirty deeds exhaust. He dynod his exhaust with JBA long tube headers and netted around 70 ftlbs of torque amd 40hp on a NA Tundra, so with the supercharger you could be hitting in the high 500s, near to 600 hp. |

After my stock tires on my 1500 seirra wore out I bought cooper srx tires, Iam on my second set, great all around tire and do great in the snow we get in Northern MI.

The truck should come from the factory with this size I just got a 21 and the Wildpeaks are ordered I ran BFG KO2's on the 16 and I cant recommend them. Terrible to balance and the wore like crap. To BFG's credit they did give me a new set at 20K miles due to a manufacturing defect I wanted to try the Toyo AT3 but they are on backorder every place I checked until March |

A lot of people like Continental tires but the two sets I've had, one truck and one SUV, they were ridiculously loud after the first few thousand miles. I'd get the michelin truck tires. Probably the LTX if it seems a decent bit of off road, or the other ones if not. |

Nitto Terra Grappler G2 or BFG KO2 DT
^ The two most common, fairly high-end all terrain tires I sell consistently to folks who are willing to pay a little more for a lot better tire than a Cooper Discoverer RTX or similar. Neither will beat you to death on the highway but both will handle just about everything you can reasonably throw at them short of super swamping. They will handle what you want to throw at them on the road without sacrificing your off-road look/capability. You won't go wrong with either on your Tundra

Decide what height and width and rim size and shop tires that you would use for a performance car. Or something like they use on BMW m class SUV. The suggestion to add the sway bars is something you should checkout to for the handling. |

If you’re rarely getting off the road and don’t need an off-road specialized tire (which will suck on the highway anyway), the Defenders (mentioned several times already) are tough to beat. I had them on my last truck and they served me well.
