Just saw this post on FB from Marathon: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/c8jUn4TYZf3fxfdu/

View Quote I read an article a few months back talking about the likelihood that Marathon was going to do some kind of commemorative watch based on their first Submariner-style SAR watch. I don't see much talk of Marathon here, but I am a big fan of my GSAR, and I am looking forward to seeing what this looks like and the price point. |

Tag. I’m on a watch kick this month so I’ll be keeping an eye on this.

They should have photoshopped up that marker with the splotchy lume a bit better.
Love my SAR, by the way. |

What are the odds they slim it down a bit? I owned a GSAR a few years back and it was massively tall on the wrist.

I paid the invoice ($285 quoted, $337 actual) and now I wait. They've already prefaced the return shipment with "we're short staffed", "we're moving to a new system", and "we're moving offices". So hopefully I get the watch back before the end of the year. Nice folks but their CS is as incompetent as fuck. |

i've had gsar and sar.. just a little too tall on the wrist for me... great watches though.
Price will probably be way beyond my seiko 5 budget. |

I wanted to like Marathon but all my mechanical watches are trash at telling time. The TSAR was fine.

My GSAR is pretty tall, but I don't know how do tritium like that without making it tall. Mine keeps great time.

If the lug width is 20mm and the thickness isn't as bad as all of the others, then I would seriously look into it.

Looks like the same thickness as all the others. It is a 20mm lug width. Considering I got the current style with tritium for right around $1000, I don't know. Anyways, here's the link:

I really liked the watch other than this when I had a GSAR a few years ago. |
