Reads like there is a lot of froth in the water over in RBR Land, and the band is potentially breaking up.
I'll say this much; things like this do not happen in a snap. Whatever is going on has been on a slow steady build for years. I commend them for managing to present a unified front and not allow any of the internal volatility to leak out into the public / press. |

View Quote Dietrich Mateschitz might have been the only reason why Horner was still around. With him no longer being around to stick up for him, Horner probably knew he was a done after the 2023 season. Guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow, but I'm sure Netflix is having a field day with this shit. |

I’m still wondering why RB has a problem with Horner.
Multiple championships, etc |

He doesn't come across as a threat at all. Maybe that's the reason no one likes him, he's too soft and the real competitive ones, Verstappen and his dad, Marco and possibly others behind the scenes think he's holding them back somehow? |

If it's just an internal power struggle, what exactly is being investigated? That doesn't add up to me.
Originally Posted By danpass: I’m still wondering why RB has a problem with Horner. Multiple championships, etc View Quote Same. Even if he's an insufferable asshole, he's still the team boss bringing in the hardware. This whole situation is weird. And that video from the last page, I find that dude is completely full of shit and most of his videos are clickbait. |

It's all good when you have elite personal and staff who will suffer and insufferable asshole and get the job done. But when that talent begins to leave, and the word is out that your enterprise puts up with that kind of horseshit from its leaders and officers and that the internal culture and workplace are both shit - elite talent will not want to join your company, or in this case, team. |

AMG did with the W13, pushing the cockpit further back, and it was not a good idea. Hamilton said he could not feel what the front wheels were doing and that with the larger taller rims, placement on turn-in was more difficult. |

I don't know either personally but I have the impression that Helmut Marko is the bigger asshole. That being said, when you have a team functioning at that level, changing a key part of it is probably a bad idea. I also think Hamilton going to Ferrari is not going to be good for him. I know he really wants more championship, but I don't see that happening there. |

Is it known if there is any sort of vesting for Horner? Twenty as team principal and then ... something?
Maybe being railroaded to avoid giving him some sort of payout. - |

They're just as bad as every other "news" site/account in misleading headlines, utterly useless drivel, or other garbage. I honestly think that it would be foolish to fire Horner unless he did something truly awful worth firing him for unless the managing partner is like Jerry Jones and treats Horner like Tom Landry got treated by Jones. Or, if he was the one leaning on Helmut and this is payback. |

Safe ThreadTM I have no idea about these sorts of things, but, if it was a clear cut case against Horner or at least clear cut allegations against him, wouldn’t RB suspend him pending the outcome of the investigation? This smells more of a power play as suggested by the internet influencers, etc. If there was evidence of a legitimate issue it would have swiftly been dealt with. No corporation in the world wants to get on the wrong side of the #metoo and purple hair brigade. The lawyers are on a fishing expedition and hoping something lands in their lap or peer pressure forces Horner out. |

I wouldn't be in the least bit shocked if when this is all done and settled, irrespective of whether the decision is favorable or unfavorable to Horner, the leak sources and issues trace their way back to Jos V.
I wouldn't be shocked at all... |
