There doesn’t appear to be much in Kaliningrad wrt orc navy vessels.  Based on the latest pictures on google earth.   At least not combat one.    Looked like one destroyer or frigate,  and one hull of similar sized ship that looked like it was being disassembled
I didn’t pick on any little missile boats

"Russian Ambassador banned from entering Britain's parliamentary buildings until "further notice"   Sky News

This is stated in an official letter from the Speakers of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. It is noted that the ban, which also applies to all other accredited Russian diplomats and officials in the UK, has already been in place unofficially since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February. However, it it only now that it has been confirmed in writing for the first time.

The letter noted that Andrey Kelin, as an officially accredited representative of the Russian government, will not be allowed to enter parliament until a special order is issued."

I think they split the Baltic Fleet between K-grad and Kronstadt near St. Petersburg, with HQ actually in K-grad.  The Baltic fleet's not huge IIRC, all the good stuff is in the Northern Fleet (Europe-wise).

Lol. I guess that's one way to describe a purely ballistic trajectory that intersects with the ground.

Exactly this.   Harpoon launchers hidden in shipping containers is a second option.

They obviously strapped on extra explosives since they are targeting nothing but apartments and civilians. It probably looked like an Indian bus flying through the air.

Reportedly, Estonia is transferring their Blue Spear missile system to Ukraine (got permission to do so from Israel).

295km range ASM also taskable to valuable stationary ground targets. That can *just* about hit Sevastopol from west of Kherson, right now.

Russia forcing itself into a multi front war when it can't find traction in a single front war will be quite amusing. You know, barring nuclear war and stuff. But them kicking themselves thoroughly in the balls will not cease to amuse me.

During the Yom Kippur War (1973) the Gabriel I was used for the first time during the Battle of Latakia. Israeli missile boats armed with Gabriel Mk 1 missiles were credited with defeating Syrian ships armed with the Soviet-made P-15 Termit (SS-N-2 Styx) missile. Even though the Styx missile had a longer range, the Gabriel's reliability and flexibility of handling contributed to the Israeli victory. It is known that the Syrians shot missile salvos at the charging Israeli vessels, but missed due to the Israeli ECM technology of the time. When they were in range, the Israeli boats launched their Gabriel missiles, and sank all but one Syrian Osa class ship, which was later sunk by cannon fire. After defeating the Syrian Navy (surviving Syrian ships stayed in port) the Israeli missile boats defeated the Egyptian navy as well, achieving naval supremacy for the remainder of the war.

The tactics used are an interesting read.

Yep.  I think it won't be precisely Ukraine that trips things to the next level - but something like this, Königsberg, Transnistria, etc.  Apparently Putin was trash-talking to the Kazakh president in St. Petersburg a few days ago, saying they might have to take it over, too, since it's "historical Russia" (because it was part of the Soviet Union).  He also apparently had trouble pronouncing the kazakh president's name, which is weird.

Also I just read Putin sent paratroopers to stomp Kazakh protestors, killing hundreds, this past January. So he figured Tokayev owed him an endorsement on invading Ukraine and seizing Donetsk and Luhansk, but he won't do it and thinks the war is wrong.  OTOH, he's no democrat and is ex-soviet, has looted money in offshore accounts, etc.  So I don't think this- Kazakhstan - is going to get fratricidal.  But if civil unrest breaks out again, who knows what could happen?

2/3min read on Kazakhstan v Russia.  Borat is not mentioned, unfortunately.

Guys were wearing OD cammies and random color boots. I would expect Russian regulars (as opposed to LPR/DPR proxy forces) to at least have matching camo uniforms.

Wow, hadn’t heard that.  I mean, I already knew Russia was cutting off their own nose to spite their face, but buying trouble with CIS states?
You can tell that Russia is run at the whim of one incompetent megalomaniac.  Putin is pissed off because the Kazakh president refused to recognize the DPR/LPR while standing on the same stage as Putin.
This sort of foolish behavior makes them look weak.  As they begin to look weak, more of the countries they’ve fucked in the last 100 years are going to start testing them.  The sharks are circling.

They’ll try, and I think that is understood by all parties.  The endgame we’re looking at is that Russia gets crushed and dismembered.  Qui bono?  Who benefits?  There’s a lot of territory and resources to go around.  Perhaps there can be a mutually beneficial understanding between the west and China.
Yes, ideally China wanted to use Russia as a meat shield against the west.  That idea is going away due to Putin’s stupidity, so China should re-evaluate where their interests lie and how they can most benefit from the current situation.  In short, there is probably more long-term benefit to getting their piece of Russia than there is to fixate on a small island with no resources.

China will take the eastern 1/2 of the Russian "scraps".  They need the resources.  Putin picked up the soap, but doesn't know it yet.

It just depends upon how this ends, but I don't think there is a strong chance of that.  Some scenarios:

1) Putin deposed/recycled, new czar makes peace/withdraws.

- In this scenario, nothing really changes.  The country is going to stay the imperial nuclear fiefdom it is and no one will mess with it.  Russia will keep the same toxic authoritarianism and stay a real threat to neighbors and global stability.

2) Soft or "color" revolution and replacement of entire regime and authoritarian kelptocracy with more liberal gov't

- This fits your scenario as republics/states may break off.  I think the far east would stay with Russia because a) it is administratively IS "Russia" and b) it is ethnically/culturally dominantly Russian.  So China still has most of it's border with Russia unchanged - still Russia.

- The likely break-away places of any merit are in the Caucasus so no way to grab them. Most are dominantly muslim/turkic and likely to be hostile to China in principle because of their genocide against the Uighurs.

3) Russian win of some type.

- No opportunity in this scenario.

That would be valid, and open some new avenues for action. This needs to happen.
