I have pretty much abandoned ARFCOM outside of this thread and don't post much at all anymore. Thank you to everyone keeping the updates going and the moderation.
The videos coming out this morning are unconscionable and I just need an outlet to say something because it's infuriating to see. These people have been occupied, had their homes flooded and now they are being shelled by artillery. It is so cruel and so impossibly stupid of Russia. Russia is going to lose this war one way or another with the majority of the world against them. At this point I think the gloves need to come off. Give Ukraine what they need to crush the Russians. With the Ukranian offensive kicked off today in a huge way we are going to see a lot of legit loses. Hopefully the Ukrainians achieve the greater goals of pushing the Russians back over the next couple of weeks. |

https://twitter.com/noclador/status/1666803376015970304 I looked a bit into the construction of the Nova Kakhovka dam in the early 1950s... turns out the dam was specifically designed to withstand direct hits (!) by US Air Force strategic bombing. Ukraine doesn't have anything remotely capable to blow up this massive concrete 1/2 construction. The only spot, where you could blow up this massive dam was where turbine hall and spill dam met... and the russians controlled that section since March 2022. I am sure the US will release proof the russian blew the dam up later today or tomorrow. 2/2     ETA:     @Ryan_Ruck

They have like what 71 leopard 2's ?. But like you said we don't have any context for the videos from the Russian sources so I'll wait to see if we can get more confirmation on what went on with some of this. |
