I ordered another pistol kit from PSA today, so that's 3 uppers/orders this month. 2 of 3 went smoothly with AJ and one did not. They'll fix it, I'm not worried.

I assure you HBR didn’t preemptively join arfcom 16 years ago with this username simply to troll this thread now.

I would post a picture however I am out of town on business until next Thursday. I didn’t take a picture when I got it because honestly I didn’t think that much of it.

Just build your own. My avatar is a dedicated CMMG 4.5” 22lr. The most expensive item will be the BCG/Barrel combo but one can save some coin if not in hurry and wait for sale items. I went with a magwell insert to allow use of S&W mags and LRBHO as well.

Yours looks good, just what I'm thinking. Was hoping for PSA cuz usually better price than can build one. But I guess I need to do some looking for parts

What is the accuracy like for you? That seems to be a common issue with 22 ARs

I got some right to bear arms barrel and bolt kits for two .22lr builds I’m planning (same as cmmg but a tad cheeper). A 4.5” and a 9” with one of there uppers as well. Plan to use a kns pic adapter since you don’t need a buffer tube. Sig style folding brace. Might sbr one and put my sig folding stock from my mcx on it.  Or if I get there 16” light weight barrel for a 3rd as well I could use the MCX stock and keep the other two with braces.

I have 4 ATF lowers with consecutive SN so I’d build 3 and keep one unbuilt.

I’ve built 2. 1 is the 4.5” for myself and other is the 8” for a friend. He shoots his far more than I do but neither of us complain about accuracy. Mind you we are just plinking, not driving tacks. I think the accuracy issue you may be speaking of is when a 22lr conversion is used in a 5.56 gun. 22lr twist rate is 1-16 while 5.56 is between 1-7 and 1-9 so the twist is not optimal for .22lr accuracy.

W000489, notice well worn pistol grip!

Consider the series started at W000001 I believe in 94'.  Very early gun.  Barreled upper is new.  Lower, PG and receiver extension old.

I get PSA is moving away from the design-by-committee that kinda exists here but I am kinda disappointed with the result.
