Quoted: This is just silly good time redneck shit. This has happened every Memorial Day Weekend for the last 25 years or more. Red River is a bastion of Texas redneckery in the hills of New Mexico. There is no shortage of folks here that have lived no real life and have never been west of the Mississippi. Nobody here ever been to a small town Saturday night? Angles, Mongols, Bandidos? No. Just a Memorial Day ride in Dead Liver. Nothing more.

Three people are dead and five are injured after 'rolling shootouts' erupted between two rival biker gangs in New Mexico, as the town is put under curfew and hospitals are locked down to avoid retaliations. The Memorial Day rally in Red River, the town's 41st annual, turned violent on Saturday when shots rang at the packed event between rival gangs. Mayor Linda Calhoun confirmed three people died and multiple were injured and that the horrific incident was gang-related. One victim was airlifted to Denver. A victim was seen being rolled to an ambulance on a stretcher, while another body was covered in a white sheet on the sidewalk, video footage shows. Holy Cross Hospital in Taos is under lockdown with local police guarding it, while The University of New Mexico Hospital is being monitored by the Albuquerque Police Department, according to State Police. The New Mexico State Police have deployed more officers to Red River for the investigation and have asked citizens to avoid the city while that happens. However, earlier, an officer advised there was a 'rolling shootout' around 6pm between the Banditos Motorcycle Club - a dangerous biker gang - and someone else, according to Taos News. It has not been confirmed by authorities that the gang was involved. 'They are shutting down Red River,' another officer advised over the police scanner, according to the local report. The scene is still active, according to New Mexico State Police. Officials have not released the cause of the shooting. Witness, Eddie Cook, of Benbrook, Texas, told KOAT that 'there were people running by where we were standing, screaming: "They're shooting down there,"' as the dangerous scene erupted. 'I never heard shooting the first round but as they come by, everybody was running,' he said. The Albuquerque Police Chief Harold Medina, who was off-duty, shared a photo of the event 30 minutes before the shooting occurred. He wrote on Twitter: 'Prayers for all impacted by todays shooting in my hometown. Was a great day as I having dinner with my wife in Red River. What a helpless feeling not having a badge, gun or radio as State Police officers and others enter the restaurant and slowly everything closes down and you don’t even know if you can get to your car or if it’s in the scene.' The Mayor of Taos, Pascualito M. Maestas, has issued a curfew from 10pm to 4am and all retailers are banned from selling alcohol during this time. It was originally reported by the Albuquerque Journal that the shooting occurred at the Motherlode Saloon in Red River, but the bar took to Facebook to deny it, confirming the grave incident did not take place there. With the reputation the 81s have, Im surprised they tolerate a Mongols presence in Arizona. Phoenix is definitely 81 territory.
As for the OP, sounds like a club trying to make a territory move. |

As I understand it the Boozefighters arent a 1% club, but they are a genuine 3 piece patch club. In modern parlance, they are grandfathered in as an MC out of respect that they started before the HA and most other 1% clubs.
In order to wear the 3 patch and not piss off the 1% clubs, the lower rocker states "Est 1946" instead of the state they claim dominance over. They also let women patch in as well, at least the San Diego area chapter did. Robert Patrick of T2 fame is a current Boozefighter too. |

So, yeah, my money is on the Bandidos and some other 1per group being involved. ETA: Should have read the whole thread before I posted. |
