The bezel insert adhesive on my SKX007 is coming apart so before I lose my insert I am going to remove it, clean off the old adhesive, and reseat the insert but what adhesive do I replace it with? What does Seiko use?

That's very kind of you Teats, I had already ordered before I saw your post but I appreciate the offer.

You are the man when it comes to this area, any tips for doing this or is it as simple as it sounds?

Plan is remove bezel, gently lift insert gradually, remove adhesive with toothpicks, reapply bezel to the case, apply adhesive to bezel, rotate bezel clockwise till its snugged up against the clicker spring/ring, then reseat bezel insert at 12.

Cleaning and degreasing is critical for a good bond.
Don't touch the tape with bare fingers.

Clean with alcohol.
Take one side of the tape off.
Stick finger through bezel insert from top to bottom.
Touch the big center part of the tape. You don't need it.
Pull finger back through insert, aligning the edges up. Stick thin edge to insert, and rub free hand finger around to get a good stick. Then push the center part through, being careful that the thin ring part stays stuck.
When ready. Remove other side of tape, align it carefully, looking from several angles, then push firmly to stick it.
If something goes wrong....
Pour a small amount of your wife's nail polish remover in a shallow container, and set watch in it, crystal side down. Be certain crown is tight, and only enough to soak the insert in.
Wait awhile and insert will come out, and start over !

Do you have a trick for bezel insert alignment with the minute markers?

Well, if case has tick marks, and tick marks on the dial, just use the ones on the insert.
Don't take the tape off yet !!!!
Get a feel for putting the insert in.
You will learn to hate it, but it will get easier for you.

I usually align the big triangle at the 57 or 58 marker, instead of straight at the 60

I removed the bezel and bezel insert and cleaned it up some, are you using rubbing alcohol to remove the gunk and sticky mess left behind or something else?

I did it!

I followed your instructions @teats and it went both quickly and painlessly, thank you for the guidance.

Do I need to let it set overnight or avoid water or anything?

Here she is ready for another 10 years.

Your swap put ideas in my head !
I have a few lumed bezel inserts, so I decided to swap out an aluminum insert from an earlier build, to a lumed ceramic.
A good soaking, and out the old one came. A good cleaning, a new tape, and here it is. All ready to glow the night away !
