I've been using the same wide padded VTAC belt since 2013 in countless classes, range days, and training sessions. It's still got plenty of useable life in it and isn't trashed (plus it fits just fine) so I'll relegate it to the HD belt (with m4 mags, shotgun card, and pistol mags) and leave the safariland 6365 holster on it.

What is the current hotness for belts? I notice a lot of folks are going to the skinny belts with the cobra buckles.

i was given a nexbelt. it works pretty good, but i think the ratcheting / tightening mechanism turned me off.  maybe dangerous.  just want to lock it in.  i wear an old brommeland 1.5"+  leather rated belt for carry.  personal preference.

I wear a Kore Mollle Belt to work 5 days a week. I did wear out the inner belt after a year. I replaced it with their new padded inner belt.

I have no problems with ratcheting belts. I wear them at work and when I'm not working. Kore at work and Nexbelt for EDC.

I like the AWS inner/outer belt system with the cobra buckle, 1 1/2" version. The outer belt hook and loops to the inner belt so gear  doesn't shift around. Wear the inner belt with the loops on it as a pants belt. Start with sticking your holster that's on the outer belt in the proper location and wrap it around the inner belt before locking the buckle. Very fast to put on and comfortable.

Very well made and doesn't break the bank. Veteran owned/operated business. You can buy molle adapters if needed. I'm using quick detachable pistol mag pouches and molle mounted rifle pouches on the same belt.

I’m using a VTAC belt myself.
I like the fact that you can add suspenders to it and not have to squeeze the fuck out of it to keep it from moving.

For IPSC I use an old school Velcro inner and outer belt.

Cigura emissary.  Flannel daddy is correct.  Stiff is good.

I have 2 of these belts. One for duty use. One for everything else.
