They're not having any opening statements because Biden has nothing good to talk about that happened during his term. On the flip side, Trump could go on and on at what a failure Biden has been. Therefore they're going to stick to questions they wrote and if Trump strays from answering one of their questions in the way they want they will shut off his mic.

There's a zero percent chance that the moderators, the questions, the lighting, the camera angles, and the audio mixing won't be all rigged to favor Biden. That said, I think shutting off the mics between questions actually favors Trump. He needs to just hammer Biden on all his failures, and then sit back and let Biden destroy himself with easily debunked cornpop, train travel, and truck driver anecdotes.

One of 2 things will happen.
The debate questions will be completely one sided in Joe's favor or CNN thinks Trump is going to win in November and they dump on Biden to make him look so bad that the Dems kick him to the curb in favor of whoever they think can beat Trump. |

First ots not a debate, there will be no debating based on the format. Its a question and answer session.
Slow Joe's handlers will have written his questions for CNN. He will have his answers in a ear piece and CNN will cut his mic when he goes of script. As for the election, lol the old mail in ballot trick is still the go to method to rig it. Printing them as fast as they can. |

The 2020 debates aren't what put the potato in the White House. The debates made the rampant cheating more believable than they would have been otherwise. No matter how well or poorly anyone thinks Trump did, the cheat was always going to be the cheat. Now that the potato has had three and half years, he and his rotten administration have a record to defend, something he didn't have to worry about back in '20. And his record has been far worse than abysmal. The administration has been an utter, complete disaster by any metric. No wonder they avoid talking about it. Trumps "convictions" have given the democrat-communists talking points so they don't have to talk about their awful record. They can just keep chirping about the rigged convictions.

CNN moderating the debate? Pretty much guarantees it's going to be a three on one debate. With Jake Tapper and Dana Bash openly siding with Biden.
They should really say its a Biden, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash versus Trump debate. Bet the first questions to Trump will be about his NY trial conviction. They are going to hit that "he's a felon" hard the entire 90 minutes since its all they have. |
