To me it's not attractive and it isn't what these girls look like in reality at all. They might be hiding something about their appearance or not, there's no way to know because you never usually see them without tons of makeup and filters, though sometimes you do and they are unrecognizable. Of course women that go through the effort to look that way would naturally be high maintenance and a lot of guys think it's worth it since they are attracted to the look. It also usually goes hand in hand with the high end millionaire lifestyle types and they feel like it makes them prestigious and they like to show it off. It's fine I guess, some prefer more natural beauty, but it's very rare as I don't see it all that often. It's like how some people prefer the look of natural wood grain and color in a world where most people will just paint right over it and actually think it looks better that way. |

Agree with you 100% Sure, social media has also messed up guys expectations to some degree, but probably not any worse than porn has in their expectations of women. What I'm seeing as harmful to guys on social media is that the male influencers are convincing guys that they have to be the gym bros with sleeve tattoos and flat brimmed hats while pushing a lifestyle of extravagance (fake Instagram girlfriend included). Women of course are being convinced by all the female influencers that they follow that they need to achieve that fake plastic girl image and reject any guy that can't deliver that luxurious Instagram millionaire lifestyle that they've been led to believe is a de facto standard for the way things are supposed to be. Reality for 99% of people is the opposite of the pop culture that is being pushed on social media... Seeing how everyone has got their full attention on their phone screens it seems that no one can really see reality for what it is anymore. Just a short 20/25 years ago things were so different and so much better than they are now. |
