They were made in St Joseph, MO back in the day at “the Mead building.” It’s now an apartment building after Mead moved production elsewhere (probably China).

I have 3 coworkers who worked on the Trapper Keeper line there in the ‘80s.

I feel cheated that I didn't have that one. Mine had some weird, early-'90s abstract graphic with spheres and cones or something on it.

I don't think I ever had one last the whole year.  The plastic that held the flap always split and fell off.  I do still have my USA made Jansport Backpack.
