SAO II final story arc wasn't shit.

Sword Art Online is one of those shows that got condensed, to varying degrees, from the original source material. The original Aincrad (first half of the first season of the anime) arc is the best of the series (though I haven't read the Alicization arc that starts in volume 9 of the novels), and the anime left out a fair amount of story material (though some of it hadn't been published when they started production of the anime). The MMORPG flavor of the month makes a bit more sense, if you read the novels (and have some gaps filled in that were left in the anime) and follow the larger story of how things progress from Aincrad to Accel World. |

I just wrapped up episode 148 of Hunter x Hunter. This show is all over the place in tone and quality, it starts off feeling like a kids show but at times it gets extremely dark and violent.
Also it is in desperate need of an excellent editor. They could have shaved 1/3 of the episodes out but not having everyone stand around and explain everything in exhausting detail. Some characters and plots seem crucial and then just disappear, Click To View Spoiler |
