Was there a new ruling?  What's going on?  I hate this trend of trying to force everyone to watch a dumb video, especially with how long they can be.  The same information can be read in a fraction of the time.

CRPA has basically the same info as the blue block.  Lacking in detail last I looked.

Chuck Michel, from the firm representing the CA Rifle & Pistol Association, posted:

We got our ruling in May v. Bonta. It's a split decision.

We won on:

Hospitals
Churches
Medical facilities
Public transit
Gatherings that require a permit
Parking areas attached to those places
Vampire Rule

We lost on:

Bars and restaurants that serve alcohol
Playgrounds
Parks
State Parks
Casinos
Stadiums and Arenas
Libraries
Zoos
Museums
Parking areas attached to those areas

We are disappointed that the panel did not see things our way on several of the places at issue, but considering the tough panel that was assigned to our case, the result was better than expected. We will continue to pursue this case and will examine whether it makes sense to petition for en banc or Supreme Court review, or instead to pursue a final judgment and then appeal after that.

These are the new "sensitive places" where CCW is prohibited.

Clear as mud?

Sorry for limited info, and no follow up bigstick61... It was sent to me, so just wanted to put it out hoping users would do a better search for the info...

I think it's the list added to or became PC 26230.  Then that list is somehow to be redlined, so to speak.  But that whole broad section is very complicated.  I don't know if SB 2 was more than just adding the "new" list, what was actually enjoined, etc.

Perhaps pages 83 and 84 provide an intial glance but not sure how that works, I was just skiming.

One of the very first things I was taught about communications was,

if the message isn't received,
if the message isn't clear,
if the message isn't concise,
if the message isn't understood by the recipient,

then it isn't communication, it isn't even information.  It is just NOISE.

I appreciate everything these guys do for our firearms rights but that guy is not very good at communication.

Tell me the outcome and be done with it.  Expand on it if you must but start with the message - "The 9th Circuit ruling means..."

It’s good news but, honestly not a big deal. When the handgun roster gets eliminated THEN I will be happy and celebrate.
For me, don’t care if I can carry in a hospital, etc.
Sorry, but that is just me.
Moving out of CA at the beginning of the year anyway, so I will be good to go.
