The "Wall of Claim" on this thread page 1 is pretty interesting reading! Have to be careful around here!
I am hoping to give this a try with my Tikka T3 Lite, looks like there aren't any in the Bolt division (there is a T3 Sporter and a T3 CTR). I have shot some small groups from a sled with it but not about to make the claim I can do so slung up prone. Will certainly be a challenge with a 8.5x scope. My typical range is about 94 yards. If I laser-range find it, and that is included in the post w/ proper MOA calculations is that acceptable? Otherwise I can drive around the lease and try to find an area to safely shoot that isn't our range. I think it is 94 yards because the bench used to be across the road, maybe it wasn't a public road at that time. |

Been wanting to enter this for YEARS but finally got around to it while testing my first run of ammo loaded on a progressive. My goal was to produce cheap, accurate ammo in under 1MOA so I figured this was the perfect time. It's my coffee can ammo that I can just pump out 200 or so rounds in an afternoon for a full day of fun on steel. I might create a thread with my setup and lessons learned; if so, I'll come back and edit in a link. Edit: Here is the link I'm also exceptionally proud of my humble setup: PSA stamped lower, joe bob handguard, and all. This barrel is off of my very first AR build and has had several thousand rounds through it (unknown total count). It was a $200 DPMS stainless barrel. I shot it without the suppressor, but might try it again suppressed next time (it's a heavy beast of a can and I tuned the ammo for use without the can for good walking around ammo). In case anyone wants to verify my rear bag was acceptable, I used the standard Midway cylindrical one and had to hold it on end as seen in the photos so it was definitely an added challenge and not my normal rear bag. I also had a target with staples loose flapping in the wind and an angry black wasp swarming around me, so I was amazed to pull this off. SPR Division, Chrazy-Chris: DPMS MK12 5.56 Barrel/Young MFG BCG/PSA Receivers/JoeBob Matrix HG/SWFA 5-25/Hornady 75gr BTHP/IMR8208XBR/SSA Brass. 1.049"/.803"/.888"/.766"/.668" = avg .835" = .835MOA |

OK, let's see if I can get this right.
Range - 100 yds. Attached File Rifle - Yes there is a mag of 75gr in it. I can post that attempt (it's worse) if requested. The targets here were shot with 55 gr. Attached File Target as shot Attached File Calipers on best group. Yes, I really did put 5 rounds in there, the stars aligned. Attached File Caliper measurements (The 1.25" in the lower right is from the left most grease ring to the left edge of the right most grease ring that did hit the paper but isn't shown because I was too close when I took this pic.) I'm using the 1.27" from the RangeBudy shot in my average. Attached File RangeBuddy measurements that I used for the lower right group that slipped off the right edge of the paper (see target as shot above). Attached File Here's another of that upper left best group as shot. I had to go check to see if I really did put together a .5 MOA group. Attached File SPR Division (AR15 w/ magnified optics) at 100 yards; NotUrLawyer: Tactical Machining lower w/ PSA-MagPull parts kit + Geissele SD-3G, PSA .223 Wylde 1/7 Upper, Nikon 3-9x Monarch UCC w/Aero Mount, bipod, Magpul stock, Hornady 55gr HP Match .223, Groups: 0.403"/1.485"/1.207"/1.906"/1.270" = avg. 1.2542”/1.047 = 1.198 MOA |

I'll give it a go. I don't want to be on any list, this is just a first attempt with a too large rear bag, it's what the range had (it did require me to have positive control of the rifle) and thank you for the challenge, good wakeup call. I think I got the rules down, but I'll probably screw up.
