I’ve made the (poor?) decision to try and build my first gun. I’ve got an SA Saint Victor that’s chambered in 350 legend. I figured I would build with the same caliber so I only need to buy 1 round. Also 350 is readily and cheaply available at Walmart here. Obviously the market is real tough right now for lowers, uppers and everything in between. My first question is what parts are specific to the 350 round? Can I use a 556 bcg, stripped upper etc, and literally the only difference is the barrel? Anyone have suggestions on 350 barrels? Any other suggestions are definitely appreciated. Thanks! |

PSA blog on the 350 legend should answer most questions. Same BCG, different magazine. |

If I'm not mistaken, Not a bad caliber for the current ammo shortage, but you already have that covered. 5.56x45mm will come back, and it might be really handy to have a gun in the standard caliber. |

That’s actually good advice about the standard calibre. Maybe I will keep it simple and just build a 5.56 instead. It opens up the market a little. I’ll look around the forums for suggestions. Appreciate the advice. |
| Why build another gun in a niche chambering when you already have one? Are you going to do something special as far as barrel length, a pistol, different optic? I more than one gun in 5.56, but they are all different. Ammo will be back again. Better yet, invest in reloading. It will save you money in the long run. |

I think you guys have convinced me. I'm thinking maybe 223 Wylde for flexibility. Better choice? Reloading is on my list also. Need to do more research on what kind of setup I need etc. Thanks again! |
