Ah I see, never was a COD guy though the story lines are pretty good in campaign modes.

Guys, for the block 2 what pistol grip options are available that have less angle or are more vertical?

I don't believe they're 'issued' but a good friend of mine on the SOF-side has fielded a Hogue and BCM Mod0 grip on his B2 and CQBR. He's not a fan of backstraps, and they're both quite steep.

RISII FSP....... When I first got back I put all my deployment stuff on a Adams Arms with Samson rail

But now I have made a straight up Colt M4A1 clone with DD rail on 14.5 barrel with FSP same as my last work gun.

Good to know. I have a Coyote B5 on the way and I'm going to give the Mod0 a try also. I used to have a Mod3, shouldn't have sold it. The Hogues I have feel good in the hand but just have to much angle and keep my wrist kinked.

Trying to decide on a light. I am leaning towards a M600V. Thoughts?

Colt Keyhole Upper
Colt SOCOM Barrel
Colt M4A1 Keyhole Lower
Surefire 4P Muzzle Device

Great looking rifle....I have a LMT 10.5 upper with the FSP and the plastic handguards..does anyone like DD or Centurion make a rail like the one you have that would fit a 10.5 upper?

Oh yes! More info please!

The reason I love playing ARMA and Insurgency is for the realism and authentic equipment and customization. I can practically download any weapon or variant of a weapon imaginable as long as there is a mod available for it. There is even a plethora of different ammunition. I can use mk262 rounds in ARMA and the ballistics are on point.

I love Arma 3 RHS, combine that with Dynamic Recon Ops maps on Steam workshop and you have a long SP experience, customizable for most any Special Ops mission you desire.

Have you seen any of the new Sig 1-6s that were recently awarded the contract in the wild yet?  Was thinking about getting one for my 14.5.  Was at my LGS and checked one out.  I really like it.

The BCM Mod3 is pretty steep, it’s my favorite grip by far.

I am finally almost done!
Added Today
-Surefire 620V-A-TN
-KAC full size lollipop(replaced a micro... which was superior IMO, but as stated in the last post “incorrect”)
- Yote brown Ergo Grip
Wanna make this as “Yote” as possible...so a Gen1 Coyote SOPMOD, and a Dark Earth PRI M84 GB are in the near future. I could also use a few more FDE KAC rail covers of various sizes...

What Mount should I go with for the light? I prefer the look of the 620v to the 600u, but the mount is Bulky.. I want something more compact that will bring it up and tight, but still clear a PEQ15 in case I ever when I get nods...

Someday I’ll get a surefire can, but my SiCo works fine for now...
I’m loving it!

Thanks.

I have a Sandman also, I want to use the SF flash hider, but it doesn’t make much sense if I can’t suppress it. My rifle will be pretty similar to yours if I ever finish it.

I've not seen those on MARSOC guns, nor on other SOCOM guns. Combat Diver said a while back that the rears with full size windage drum is all he has seen.

In all the photos I have the USMC Micros are by far the most common that I see. Additionally 300m Full size KAC are very common through SOCOM. Marine Corps likes to use what it lready has on hand hence MARSOC still using NT4s, peq15s, and peq16s instead of Rcs and LA-5s.

Have a question for you guys. I own a Colt M4A1 Socom that came from the factory with a pinned and welded flash hider. Is it possible to install a FSP RIS with the muzzle device still permanently attached or would it have to be removed?

Thanks.

You will need the flash hider and FSP removed in order to install the RIS barrel nut.

Getting ready send my upper of to John Thomas. We emailed a few months ago about prices and work required but that was before I had all my parts.
Did ya'll email him before you sent it in or just include the required work and payment in the box? And did he ship your upper back in the same box you sent it?
Thanks.

Your biggest hurdle will be all the older image hosting links that are dead.  Not a perfect way but how I do it is

Open Google image search.
Type your search keywords followed by "site: www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/M4A1-SOPMOD-Block-II-clone-picture-thread/118-541606"

In my example the full search syntax is "vltor sight site: www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/M4A1-SOPMOD-Block-II-clone-picture-thread/118-541606"

Returns these results...

I talked to John before I sent him my upper assembly and FH to make sure what the cost was going to be. It is a good idea to call him or e-mail him before sending anything. He does send it back in the same packaging he receives.
