Depends on what you mean by 'manufacture'.  If you mean did anyone make any, then for sure.  If you mean did anyone made them as a product line, then no way.

I believe this one was "made" by Oregon Research Labs.

I was asking about a non custom, available to the public, produced in large number mp5 type rifle chambered in .45ACP.

You will be hard pressed to find a mass manufactured MP5 in any caliber available to the public.  Even the 9mm and 40/10 cal versions are made in very liimited quantities.  They are not that popular with 98% of the public.  Those of us interested in them are very small in numbers and even smaller yet is those of us who actually pony up the cash to purchase one.

I have seen a .45acp SW5 (I think it was sw5) rifle on gunbroker.com before.  Best bet is to look on there and Guns America.

Hope this helps.

Actually, that was an AOW SW45 and RDTS did the SD conversion.

But Andrew IS building a MULTI-CALIBER, 9mm, .40, .45 clone.
They are just in the infancy.

That question was asked on HKPro...  And I'm paraphrasing... "Will it be <$2K?  Yes..."

One can say what they like about Todd and SW, but they make and sell stuff when nobody else does.

AFAIK, almost every non-.308 receiver out there (and even some of those too) is a SW under one company name or another.

I had this exact model, except I put an A3 tele stock on mine.

I never realy had issues with it, mine worked well. I wanted to do an SD mod before I sold it. Wish I still had it.

You are correct....unless you count Hesse.  I think Hesse makes a "type" of HK receiver.

SW use to make the SW-45.  I am sure if you look around you can find one without too much trouble because they made them for several years.  I got a SW-45-PDW that I converted to SBR to dump the fake suppressor.  Then when the ban ended I made the stock fold.  So far, with many thousands of rounds through it, since the initial accuracy problem was solved with a new barrel I have been totally happy with it.
I know a lot of people trash SW but I have been very happy with the rifle and their service about replacing the barrel, while slow, was still very satisfactory (as in free and done right).

We've got about 6 or 7 of these in the van at work.  I've got no clue if they make a civilian semi-auto version.
