The chili's in the crock pot and it smells like a damned Cinnabon now. I guess I should have measured ingredients instead of just guessing.
Anything I can add to the chili to kill the cinnamon taste it's sure to have? There's already stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce in there. |

If you made a stew with meat, such as beef or lamb, sear more meat in a skillet first before adding it to the stew. Go easy on adding extra meat to keep the fat content down. Extra vegetables, such as potatoes and carrots, also dilute the flavor of too much cinnamon and are a healthier addition than more meat. Saute vegetables before adding them to the stew and do not season them. You might find that adding tomatoes to a stew helps balance the flavor. |

Beans. Dark red kidney beans are already in there. I guess I could add some pinto or black beans. Quoted:
Try garlic. That's a good idea. I'll try that. Quoted:

hot peppers, the heat from the peppers conceals the cinnamon. make it inferno chili
over did the cinnamon once when making tacos, this is how i resolved it |

Fuck that "go easy on the more meat" horseshit. Go slaughter a small furry woodland creature or five and throw em in the pot .

you put what in chili? Yeah I had to do a double take to make sure it was a question from Texas and not Ohio. Hell I was almost waiting for the next question to be "And how much chocolate is enough?" He did say he put beans in it, in Texas, so I'm just going to go get my popcorn now. |

Add cloves and ginger to cover cinnamon. I have both of those things. Is this really going to help or was it a smart-ass answer to mess up my food? This is GD, so I have to ask. |

Just add all the OTHER ingredients of chili in, in sufficient quantities to bring the cinnamon concentration back down to where you want it
You might end up with 100 gallons of chili, though. Maybe you should just put a pint of chili in a Mason jar, make a new batch without cinnamon, and then mix in the contaminated pint and then the balance should be about right. Every time you make another batch, add in more you saved from this over-cinnamoned batch. |

Add some nutmeg, more beans, some vanilla, more beans, take the meat out, more beans, add soy sauce, some sriracha, more beans, blend, bake at 450 for 4 hours and enjoy with a glass of milk. Your cake is done.

cinnamon in chili? Why the fuck would anyone put cinnamon in chili? |

Add double of everything else except cinnamon - now you can have double the chili
We had a chili cook off at work a few months ago and a guy put too much in his and it just plans SUCKED!!! Forgot to mention, cinnamon and beans have no place in chili! |

cinnamon in chili? yea wtf? get some chili powder in that ASAP |

You're too far south to attempt it, that's why it didn't work.
This is just an off the wall idea, ... a little bit of white vinegar? Maybe it will add enough savory/sour anti-spicy zing to kill cinnamon? |

Cinnamon, beans, crockpot? You're not a real Texan are you?
ETA: and tomatoes? |

You should probably put it over spaghetti... Use it for a meaty cinnamon roll topping for breakfast tomorrow. BOOM. |

Add cloves and ginger to cover cinnamon. Tofu is know to balance out the cinnamon too. |

What we have heah is a failure to communicate! There ain't no fookin carrots, beans, tomato paste, coriander, in chili. Some artsy-fartsy kind o' stew from like a Graham Kerr cookbook maybe, but what you got ain't chili.. 44

I put cinnamon in mine. Like a teaspoon per pot. And I make a big pot.
|
|
Simply split it in half and freeze or refigerate one batch and add 1/2 of all ingredients from original recipe EXCEPT the cinamon. Repeat on second batch at later date.
|
|
The only solution is to make more chili and add it to the cinnamon chili.
