Meh. I'm glad we're dropping the "We just want common sense gun safety" mask and getting right to the real argument. I appreciate the other side finally being open and honest about what they want. Maybe it will finally open a few eyes on our side and get them off the couch and put of the basement - not to mention making it abundantly clear to the fudds that they can't get away by throwing other gun owners under the bus.

Agreed.
And it's also good news because we always see these "attacking guns from new directions" tactics in the media whenever they're
losing.
When the anti-gun crowd thought they were winning, or at least holding their ground, we got the usual stuff "
Crime... 40 times more likely to kill yourself or a family member.. blah blah blah".
In 2004 and the AWB expired, and the CCW wave was rolling over most of the states, we started seeing other tactics, like the false flag anti-gun organizations trying to start up and create "Moderate Gun-Safety" groups etc.
Now with Obama, and the shootings they could usually count on as a means to push gun control, gun bans actually having the
opposite effect, driving more and more people to become gun owners they get
desperate, and start trying other random tactics off the beaten path, hoping something will stick.
- You can't be religious and own/use guns.
- You're a coward if you use a gun. Fight like a MAN! (Which of course is hilariously hypocritical because it contradicts all the other lefty touchy-feely ideology that normally goes with anti-gun feelings.)
And then some of the older ideas that were only ever side-bar arguments start gaining more prominence.
- The founders would never have approved if they saw MODERN GUNZ!
- The Second Amendment doesn't say what it says.
- The Supreme Court is radical and off the rails to have given us Heller.
And it goes on and on.
So whenever you see them switching tactics like this. IT'S GOOD NEWS.
