Soundgarden--Badmotorfinger

If Rusty Cage, Jesus Christ Post and Slaves and Bulldozers don't put in the mood for war, then noting will.

Slaves and Bulldozers always sounds to me like the soundtrack for a damn monster movie--Godzilla v. Rhodan or some shit!

polkas.

I don't know anyone who can feel down or lonely listening to polkas.

"roll...out...the barrell!"

"I don't want her you can have her she's too fat for me..."

bet you feel rarin' to go and better already!

what? you'd like to hear the whole song?

well alright then!!!

Here's a silly ditty, you can sing it right away
Now, here is what you say
So sing it while you may
Here's a silly jingle, you can sing it night or noon
Here's the words, that's all you need
'Cause I just sang the tune:

Oh, I don't want her, you can have her
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat for me
I don't want her, you can have her,
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat
    She's too fat
    She's too fat for me

I get dizzy
I get numbo
When I'm dancing
With my Jum-Jum-Jumbo

I don't want her, you can have her
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat for me
I don't want her, you can have her
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat
    She's too fat
    She's too fat for me

Can she prance up a hill?
    No, no, no, no, no
Can she dance a quadrille?
    No, no, no, no, no
Does she fit in your coupe?
    By herself she's a group
Could she possibly
Sit upon your knee?
    No, no, no

We don't want her, you can have her
    She's too fat for me
And she's too fat for me
But she's just right for me
We don't want her, you can have her
    She's too fat for me
    Yeah, she's too fat,
    Much too fat
But she's just right for me

She's so charming
And she's so winning
But it's alarming
When she goes in swimming

We don't want her, you can have her
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat for me
But she's just right for me
So I sure want her, you can't have her
    She's just right for me
    But she's too fat!
    She's not too fat!
    She's just right for me!

She's a twosome,
She's a foursome
If she'd lose some
I would like her more some

I don't want her, you can have her
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat for me
I don't want her you can have her
    She's too fat for me
    She's too fat
    Much too fat
    She's too fat for me
    Hey!

Hey!

That calls for a toast!

There's a garden, what a garden,
Only happy faces bloom there,
And there's never any room there,
For a worry or a gloom there
Oh there's music and there's dancing,
And a lot of sweet romancing
When they play the polka
They all get in the swing

Every time they hear that oom-pa-pa,
Everybody feels so tra-la-la
They want to throw their cares away,
They all go lah-de-ah-de-ay
Then they hear a rumble on the floor, the floor,
It's the big surprise they're waiting for
And all the couples form a ring,
For miles around you'll hear them sing...

Chorus:
Roll out the barrel, we'll have a barrel of fun
Roll out the barrel, we've got the blues on the run
Zing boom tararrel, ring out a song of good cheer
Now's the time to roll the barrel, for the gang's all here

Now THAT'S a "call to prayer"!

Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" by Stan Kenton

Stan Kenton?  The bandleader?  Jazz and swing and stuff?

(googlegooglemp3tolistento...)

Well, maybe.  For sheer power, the standard orchestal version is better.

Classical stuff other than Wagner:

"Night on Bald Mountain" by Modest Mussorgsky
You MUST get this.  It's probably one of the most terrifying pieces of classical ever written (and if it's not, someone will propose something "worse").
"Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" by Johann Sebastian Bach
Stick to the organ version - believe it or not, it has more "power" than Stokowski's orchestral version.  I don't find it scary, but I've never seen Dracula.
"Mars, the Bringer of War" by Gustav Holst
Another MUST HAVE.   Bald Mountain is fear and terror, Mars is devastation and mayhem.
"Imperial March" by John Williams (It's a Trap!)
The overture from "William Tell" by Gioacchino Rossini, in particular the "thunderstorm" section.
The title music from "Jaws" also by Williams.

I'll need to think of some more.

Manowar "Battle Hymns"

By moonlight we ride
Ten thousands side by side
With swords drawn held high
Our whips and armours shine
Hail to thee our infantry
Still brave beyond the grave
All have sworn the eternal vow
The time to strike is now
[Chorus:]
Kill, kill, Oh !
Kill, kill, Oh !
Kill, kill, Oh !
Kill, kill, Oh !
Gone are the days when freedom shone
Now blood and steel meet bone
In the light of the battle's way
The sands of time will shade
How proud our soldiers stand
With mace and chain in hand
Sound the charge into glory ride
Over the top of the vanguished pride
[Chorus:]
Victory, victory, Oh !
Victory, victory, Oh !
Victory, victory, Oh !
Victory, victory, Oh !
To the battle we ride
We crossed a starlit sky
No space no time
We'll catch the wind
Strange losses, men died
We crossed a starlit sky
And still no space or time
We'll catch the wind
[Chorus:]
Kill, kill, Oh !
Kill, kill, Oh !
Kill, kill, Oh !
Kill, kill, Oh !
Sound of charge into glory ride
Over the top of the anguished pride
By moonlight we ride
Ten thousand side by side
[Chorus:]
Kill, kill, Oh !
Kill, kill, Oh !
Kill, kill, Oh !
Kill, kill, Oh !

Manowar "Battle Hymns"

Or the albums "Warriors of the World" and "Louder than Hell" also by Manowar.  Here's the lyrics for 'Call to Arms' from the album 'Warriors of the World'

When They See Us They Will Run For Their Lives
To The End They Will Pay For Their Lies
So Long Did We Wait Now We Are Home

Here Once Again There’s A Battle To Fight
Gathered Together For The Sound And The Might
So Long Did We Wait Now We Are Home

Now We Will Fight For The Kingdom Fighting With Steel
Kill All Of Them Their Blood Is Our Seal
Fight Till The Last Of The Enemy Is Dead
Ride Through Their Blood That We Gladly Have Shed

I Now Issue The Call Are You Ready To Fight
Fight All Together As One For The Right To Be Free Once Again
Tonight We Will Win

I Can See By The Look That You Have In Your Eyes
You Came Here For Metal To Fight And To Die
Defenders Of Steel Now We Are Home

Fight For The Kingdom Bound For Glory
Armed With A Heart Of Steel
I Swear By The Brothers Who Stand Before Me
To No Man Shall I Kneel
Their Blood Is Upon My Steel
Blood Is Upon My Steel

Fight For The Kingdom Fighting With Steel
Kill All Of Them Their Blood Is Our Seal
Fight Till The Last Of The Enemy Is Dead
Ride Through Their Blood That We Gladly Have Shed

I Now Issue The Call Are You Ready To Fight
Fight All Together As One For The Right To Be Free Once Again
Tonight We Will Win

I Can See By The Look That You Have In Your Eyes

Defenders Of Steel Now We Are Home

Fight For The Kingdom Bound For Glory
Armed With A Heart Of Steel

If you're going to go to battle you need to have some Bolt Thrower. I have their five albums. The album names are "who dares wins", "warmaster", "the Fourth Crusade", "mercenary" "honor, valor, pride", and "for victory". All of their covers have images of battles from paintings to some Royal Marines in the Falklands.
Since you're going there send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

Big ditto on that.  I highly suggest Dope's "Die Mother Fucker, Die!", and also lots of Static X.
