Dope - Die MF Die
Dope - Burn More to come later, I need to get some sleep right now. |
Bodies by Drowning Pool
Pretty much anything by Dope (especially Die). |
Soundgarden--Badmotorfinger
If Rusty Cage, Jesus Christ Post and Slaves and Bulldozers don't put in the mood for war, then noting will. Slaves and Bulldozers always sounds to me like the soundtrack for a damn monster movie--Godzilla v. Rhodan or some shit! |
on a side not please do not listen to music or wear headphones when your on convoy, and please smack the hell out of anyone you see doing it,
that and gun twirling at the clearing barrel, smack them too I know it sounds retarded and it is, but I still saw it all the time in Iraq - I can't tell you how difficult it was not tackling some of those tools |
Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
the whole album is money |
"In the Name Of God" by Dream Theater on the CD "Train Of Thought" is eminently qualified in both music and lyrics.
Soilwork
Their first two albums, "Steelbath Suicide" and "The Chainheart Machine" are great for getting you fired up, specifically, the song, Machine Gun Majesty. Great stuff. |
Black Bagdad by Drowning pool.hippie.gif
Any Rammstein, but especially Feuer Frei.
Hendrix, even though he was anti-war, just because his music is THE awesome. |
Linkin Park - "Don't Stay" & "Papercut"
Powerman 5000 - "Drop the Bombshell" POD - "Boom" Saliva - "Your Disease" Rage Againt the Machine - "Bombtrack" Gunz N Roses - "Welcome to the Jungle" Slipknot - "Duality" Dropbox - "Wishbone" Stay safe! |

Stan Kenton? The bandleader? Jazz and swing and stuff? (googlegooglemp3tolistento...) Well, maybe. For sheer power, the standard orchestal version is better. Classical stuff other than Wagner: "Night on Bald Mountain" by Modest Mussorgsky You MUST get this. It's probably one of the most terrifying pieces of classical ever written (and if it's not, someone will propose something "worse"). "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" by Johann Sebastian Bach Stick to the organ version - believe it or not, it has more "power" than Stokowski's orchestral version. I don't find it scary, but I've never seen Dracula. "Mars, the Bringer of War" by Gustav Holst Another MUST HAVE. Bald Mountain is fear and terror, Mars is devastation and mayhem. "Imperial March" by John Williams (It's a Trap!) The overture from "William Tell" by Gioacchino Rossini, in particular the "thunderstorm" section. The title music from "Jaws" also by Williams. I'll need to think of some more. |

Manowar "Battle Hymns"
By moonlight we ride Ten thousands side by side With swords drawn held high Our whips and armours shine Hail to thee our infantry Still brave beyond the grave All have sworn the eternal vow The time to strike is now [Chorus:] Kill, kill, Oh ! Kill, kill, Oh ! Kill, kill, Oh ! Kill, kill, Oh ! Gone are the days when freedom shone Now blood and steel meet bone In the light of the battle's way The sands of time will shade How proud our soldiers stand With mace and chain in hand Sound the charge into glory ride Over the top of the vanguished pride [Chorus:] Victory, victory, Oh ! Victory, victory, Oh ! Victory, victory, Oh ! Victory, victory, Oh ! To the battle we ride We crossed a starlit sky No space no time We'll catch the wind Strange losses, men died We crossed a starlit sky And still no space or time We'll catch the wind [Chorus:] Kill, kill, Oh ! Kill, kill, Oh ! Kill, kill, Oh ! Kill, kill, Oh ! Sound of charge into glory ride Over the top of the anguished pride By moonlight we ride Ten thousand side by side [Chorus:] Kill, kill, Oh ! Kill, kill, Oh ! Kill, kill, Oh ! Kill, kill, Oh ! |

If you're going to go to battle you need to have some Bolt Thrower. I have their five albums. The album names are "who dares wins", "warmaster", "the Fourth Crusade", "mercenary" "honor, valor, pride", and "for victory". All of their covers have images of battles from paintings to some Royal Marines in the Falklands.
Since you're going there send me a PM and I'll see what I can do. Jay Check out this website http://www.metalblade.de/boltsound.html |

Man in the box by ALice in Chains is a good war song. Beutiful People by Marylin Manson still rocks! For Whom the bell tolls by Metallica. Saliva has a bunch of good ones and early Creed has some good hard stuff. Hope this helps. Take care and good luck! Take care and come back safe!

Oh come on!
Gotdamerung by Wagner! If it was good enough for Apocolypse now!! Its good enough for Iraq!! |
Big ditto on that. I highly suggest Dope's "Die Mother Fucker, Die!", and also lots of Static X. Edited to add: For some reason, Copeland's "Fanfare for the Common Man" gets my Epi flowin' as well. |
