Then you play a hybrid man-zone that always keeps Kelce doubled. That's why the DCs get paid, to come up with schemes that work. Just throwing up your hands and saying "nothing will work!" is lazy. |

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING! Dude was cleared to play, then decided not to right before the game. Then he had a full bye week. Then he didn't even practice this week. Shit don't add up. Edit: Awww snap. Josina Anderson in fucking shambles right now.

Quoted: Holding the Non-Contender to 19 is a pretty good job. Broncos offense sucked hard last night. It's hard to win when you score zero. Yeah, Kelce was open all night, but no one else really was. With a good QB like Mahomes, it's kinda pick your poison. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Then you play a hybrid man-zone that always keeps Kelce doubled. They had two weapons, Pacheco and Kelce. Period. |

Quoted: Man coverage is for college teams. Kelce has enough experience to find the gaps in the zones. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Man coverage is for college teams. Kelce has enough experience to find the gaps in the zones. This is certainly a take. Quoted: It's too easy for an NFL QB to beat man coverage. It's mostly up to receivers to beat coverage. Sure, a QB can try to displace defenders by looking away from their targets and they might have the opportunity to "throw a receiver open," but the receivers have to be able to do their part. Last season, the Chiefs ate zone coverage when Kelce and JuJu were on the field, but things were tougher when they faced man. Now JuJu is gone, Kelce has two lingering leg injuries, and the WR room mostly sucks. It doesn't help that Mahomes has been in a bit of a slump the past few weeks, but even when he's on, there's often just nowhere for him to go with the ball. |

Mary Kay Cabot, over at Cleveland.com, is reporting that Watson has a "rotator cuff contusion". He could "miss multiple more games" and won't play until he is "pain free".
Then goes on blabbering about how his contusion is "more than just a run-of-the-mill bruise". Calling it a "deep contusion" that "functions more like a strain". I bet he's getting plenty of shoulder massages for his bruise. |

Tinfoil hat time: I think Andy Reid is toying with us, experimenting with his WR group to see what/ who works, and what doesnt NOW, so that hes prepared and ready LATER.
I will not put anything past the Chiefs, and I have the utmost respect for Reid and Mahomes, theyre ballers. Even as a lifelong Bills fan, I can see and respect that. |

View Quote I have no idea what he has left in the tank, but I think he needs 1-2 postseason sacks to punch his ticket to Canton. The Chiefs are probably the best place for him to get that opportunity... if they can find space for him. Quoted: What’s the deal with this? Denver goes after him & pays him, then restructures & cuts him just so somebody else can pick him up cheap? View Quote It's complicated. My understanding is he wanted money, and the Chiefs needed cap relief, he got cut, and Denver was the highest bidder. I think the theory was Denver needed depth and veteran talent to fill in while they were getting new guys like Nik Bonitto online. I think the reality just didn't work out. Clark probably wasn't reliable enough for Denver's needs, their young guys are doing okay, and Clark probably has a bunch of reasons to want to GTFO. There are a lot of problems with that team, and Clark probably decided he didn't want to stick around. |

They are married to this day. Gotta be at least 25 years between their ages. |

Here you can see that this entire report is Jefferson's agent talking to Schef: "If the Vikings are unable to remain competitive, Jefferson would be expected to consider the reality that he and the organization did not come to an agreement on a long-term contract extension before this season. The deal likely would have made Jefferson the highest-paid non-quarterback offensive player in NFL history, and his price is not expected to drop. As competitive as Jefferson is and as much as he would like to be there for his team, he will have to ask himself whether a return this season is worth the risk of long-term injury if the Vikings have fallen out of the playoff race." |

Kirk Herbstreit and Al Michaels on Amazon TNF were the worst announcing duo I’ve heard this season.
