Man, no shit I used to think agenda 21 was just fringe/ tinfoil.

Then I read about it, and read how many swamp creatures in DC signed onto it, even though the US didn't officially.

Freaky shit.

Here's her background:

https://www.northumbria.ac.uk/about-us/our-staff/z/professor-valentina-zharkova/

"I am a Professor in Mathematics at Northumbria University. I have BSc/MSc in Applied Mathematics and Astronomy, a Ph.D. in Astrophysics, certificate in project management.

I graduated from the National University of Kyiv, Ukraine in 1975 with a BSc/M.Sc. first class with distinction degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics (joint honours). In 1975-1978 worked as Junior researcher at Physics and Applied Maths Department, then moved to the Solar Division of the Main Astronomical Observatory, Kyiv, Ukraine for my Ph.D. studies in Applied Mathematics/Solar Theory. After successfully defending my thesis in non-LTE radiative transfer entitled "Hydrogen emission in quiescent solar prominences with filamentary structure", I worked at Space Science Laboratory, Physics Department, National University of Kyiv as junior researcher, lecturer/researcher senior lecturer/senior researcher (1978-1994).

In 1992 I joined the Astronomy Group of Glasgow University as the Senior Royal Society visitor, then a Research Fellow (1993-1999). In 2000 I became a Lecturer at the University of Bradford, in 2002 I was appointed to a Reader and in 2005 to a Professor in Applied Mathematics. From September 2013 I joined the Northumbria University as a Professor in Mathematics"

I'd wager she's familiar with the workings of the Sun. Maths folks are good with looking at data.
She got her degrees from the USSR. Are they worth a shit....
The USSR had some pretty good math programs.  They just didn't have a quality engineering base to properly utilize what the mathematicians and scientists figured out.

Watching the video is crucial to understanding to what she is saying.  Her English isn't that great, so I'm sure there is quite a few people who won't put the time into sitting through a 1+ hr recording (and the fact that "science people, science talk...what??").  Anyway, the crux of the matter that I took away is the implications of "NEGATING" most, if not all science to do with global heating and cooling, and putting a central, undeniable focus on the sun.  Using her method/calculation/theorem puts a plethora of people out of work, and likewise, removes their funding.  I am struck by the fact that she was so open about how she came about the work, and what its implications are.  She isn't forcing her work on anyone, and she published it for anyone and everyone to scrutinize it.  SHE WAS NOT FUNDED TO PRODUCE THIS WORK!!! The methods and proofs were a "side job/curiosity" AKA "shits and giggles" (science version) with her students and colleagues.

A fascinating point about the work is our ability to be able to observe it real time.  Her work has a 97% accuracy rate according to her tests regarding historical record keeping (recording of sunspots and weather patterns) dating back 2000 years.  Using the calculation to forecast the suns activity and make predictions how earths atmosphere, and climate will fluctuate to the degree she is postulating, is mind boggling.  Adding to the fact that her findings are telling us that we will be able to observe her work IMMEDIATELY, adds and extra "umphhh" to the whole global warming debate.   Time will literally tell whats what in regards to these new findings, and not in generations, but over the next 10 years..cool beans.

https://www.theburningplatform.com/2018/11/17/professor-valentina-zharkova-explains-and-confirms-why-a-super-grand-solar-minimum-is-upon-us

Professor Valentina Zharkova gave a presentation of her Climate and the Solar Magnetic Field hypothesis at the Global Warming Policy Foundation in October, 2018.

The last time we had a little ice age only two magnetic fields of the sun went out of phase.  This time, all four magnetic fields are going out of phase.

Full presentation by Zharkova, 93 minutes

20 minute summary video by Lee Wheelbarger

Wheelbarger sums it up: even if the IPCC's worst case scenarios are seen, that's only a 1.5 watts per square meter increase. Zharkova's analysis shows a 8 watts per square meter decrease in TSI to the planet.

tl;dr: ice age, crop failures, starvation, time to invade Mexico and pay them back for all that illegal immigration.

Actually yes. If you watch the astrophysics community there has been a very hushed "oh fuck". Her formula is accurate so far. The math makes sense and the cycle thus far is spot on. There is talk of the sudden lack of solar activity below expectations. The oh fuck will get louder soon if it holds accurate. Astrophysics is a very tiny niche of science so acting shocked that there isnt much heard in a field that only 1% of the population is even smart enough to be sucessful in should be no shock.

It's dangerous for putting food on your family's table to speak up and support her position. You have to say oh but of course the sun has no affect on climate and man made C02 will result in the earth getting much warmer.

You are basically asking how come nobody backed up Galileo.

Thanks for the reply. I don't follow the astrophysics community and know nothing of it. I would think however that this would be all over the nets especially the gun boards where people have a penchant for tingoil hattery. I include myself amongst that group.

If it's true, this could be devastating and obviously something we need to start preparing for immediately. Pardon me if I'm a little skeptical however since this is the first I've heard of it. I'm going to need a lot more to go on before I start making life changes to prepare for this particular calamity.

Dude, people have been talking about the shockingly weak sunspot cycle, and the possibility that we are headed into a new grand solar minimum, for the last several years.  You just haven't been paying attention.

All she is doing is providing a mathematical model that fits the observed reality.  You know, "scientific theory".  Like heliocentricity or gravity or evolution.

These same scientists have been making doom-n-gloom predictions as long as I can recall. I remember back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s they were predicting a coming ice age, the hole in the ozone was going to end life, and can't recount how many times I heard predictions the polar ice caps were going to melt. Anyone remember peak oil predictions? Or how about predictions the Earth's population was going to eclipse its ability to feed people and there was going to be mass starvation. Excuse me if I seem a tad skeptical when these scientists make their predictions, because their track records is no more accurate it seems than Nostradamus was (actually, that would be disparaging to Nostradamus).
