I imagine Armour will follow suit soon too |

Back in the 90's there was a kind of general store/gas station outside of Durbin WV that had the largest selection of Vienna sausages I've ever seen. I guess there were a lot of different flavored/sauced ones back then. There were literally hundreds of cans lining the shelf. And that's before you got to the potted meat and Spam aisle.
I think they were a staple food around that area because no matter where you were, there was always an empty can laying on the ground nearby. |

So now Joe Biden is responsible for the OPs small Weiner. Got it!

I remember tearing up the middle one, trying to get it out of the can since they were packed in so tight.
I noticed Potted Meat, which used to be soft and spreadable when it was first opened and warm, and then got hard as a frigging rock when refrigerated and would tear up your bread, is now overly soft and juicy when warm. I refrigerate them now before opening and they are the perfect consistency but don't rip the bread up. They must have changed the lard content or something. |

I keep those Armour cans by the case. I always throw a few in my pack when bowhunting or trail riding.
Only sucky part is when it's cold bowhunting, that water turns to gel. I struggle through it. |

Looking at Google Images (some of these pics have to be older), all are 4.6oz except for two store brands. One of those is 4 and the other is 5. |

There smaller than they used to be and shorter. They come out easily now without messing the first one up, which is what happened before. They used to be packed in and came almost to the top. They are full of juice to the top, though and that's why the weight is still the same.

There was always a difference in Armor and some of the store label brands. You can always try comparing the food info labels (then versus now) to compare grams per serving and # of servings in the container. |

So funny we've noticed products shrinking over time. Then while shopping at a grocery store we frequent We noticed their reusable bags were smaller than before compared to ours from that store. 1 weeks later the carts were brand new and smaller as well. I'm assuming it was to scale the bags and carts so you were still getting a " cart full" at the same price.
We don't shop there anymore lol |

The under scores will be here soon to defend Bidens honor, but you know shits gone off the rails when they fuck up Vienna sausages.
Once that's done, there's really nothing else to fuck up. You've achieved complete cluster fuck status |

Gross. Last port shoulder I bought cost $11. Not sure how many meals we got out of it but it was a lot. Whole cuts of meat aren’t priced much higher than they have been for the last few years. Whole hams, chickens, turkeys, pork shoulders and loins….bought fresh boneless chicken breast for $2.50 a pound all winter long. Same size they’ve always been and readily available everywhere.
Spend some coin on good cookware and a deep freezer. It will pay for itself in the first 3 months. Then you don’t have to care about shrinkflation, your food will taste good, and you’ll have a pile of money to buy guns with. |

Quoted: Because it’s the correct pronunciation. And they are awesome. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: I had a friend who called them "Vye-enna" sausages. What a dumb shit! I know several people from Alabama who pronounce it that way. Because it’s the correct pronunciation. And they are awesome. As a technical point, NEITHER are correct, because the name of the city is "Wien" - which should be pronounced "veen" in English. So unless you are calling it by the correct Austrian/German name, ANY pronunciation is as incorrect as any other. So pronouce it however you want - none of it is correct. Sort of like "Munich" and "Cologne" - there's no technically correct way to pronounce those in English, because they are just made-up English versions of a different correct German pronunciation. Don't even get me started on "Copenhagen" |
