What is more dangerous to the UT program a football player with gun or twitter account?

Ok, now EsecPN  is just trolling. No way they aren't.

They always tweet/post top 10 every week. This week they tweet top 11 just to include an extra SEC team.

There is no way they aren't aware of the claimed bias by fans about the sec.

Pretty strong troll.

you want bias? I'll give you bias

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/13811373/ranking-20-undefeated-teams-college-football-week-5

1. Florida Gators (5-0): Are they the best team in the nation? No. But they have run the most impressive obstacle course to undefeated (even according to the non-eye test numbers), with victories over American contender East Carolina, at 4-1 Kentucky, Tennessee and then-No. 3 Ole Miss.

.

.
20. Florida State Seminoles (4-0): Whipped Texas State and USF and barely beat Boston College and Wake Forest. Jameis' Noles these are not.

Now who's trolling?

Wait until Nov 28th.

FSU did not "whip" USF, they struggled the first half and were tied at halftime. They did make the adjustments to win easily though, I don't consider that getting "whipped."

The could only score 7 pts against USF in the first half, I can't wait to see what Florida's defense will do to them.

Someone said earlier in the thread as soon as the horns found a QB they'd be back.  They've got a pretty darn good QB right now in Heard.  But the whole culture over there still looks rotten, even with the young guys Strong brought in who were supposedly going to help fix the entitlement attitude.

Must be something in the water over there.

Bama fans were awfully high on the guy when he got hired and said he'd do great things based on his record.  I was a little more skeptical, just because of Colorado St, but he's turned out to be a fine hire.

No.

Georgia hasn’t won an SEC title since 2005.
Georgia has played for the SEC title only twice since then, the same number of times as Missouri, which entered the SEC in 2012.
Eight times since Richt took over in Athens, an SEC team has won the national championship; in that same time Georgia has yet to play for one.
Georgia has a 16-9 record vs. Power 5 opponents in the past three seasons.Georgia is 14-21 vs. ranked teams since 2008.
Since 2008, when Georgia’s decline under Richt began, the Bulldogs have finished the season unranked (three) more often than they have finished ranked in the top 10 (two).
Georgia has suffered a loss by at least 18 points in nine of the past 10 seasons.

Georgia failed to show up as an almost two-touchdown favorite against a bad Florida team last season, losing 38-20.
This is problematic on two fronts. One, Richt is 5-9 against the Gators. Two, Richt’s teams have come to suffer at least one head-scratching loss per season as a considerable favorite. Last season, it was Florida and South Carolina. In 2013, it was Missouri and Vanderbilt.

All of this despite having an average recruiting ranking of 8th since 2008, according to 24/7 Sports, and a dazzling array of individual talent including Matthew Stafford, Knowshon Moreno, AJ Green, Orson Charles, Jarvis Jones, Justin Houston, Alec Ogletree, Bacarri Rambo, Todd Gurley and now Nick Chubb.

Giving up already? You dont think the dogs are eager for some revenge? Common now, the Dawgs are the only relevant rivalry the Gators have. You never know how that game will go.

Assuming there is even more progress in the Mizzy game, I'll be buying my tickets that night.

The Dawgs will probably drop one game before then to make it meaningless for East
It wouldn't be surprised if it was Tennessee this weekend or Mizzou next week.
Then again they could make run and then Richt it up against UK or AU to lose the SEC East by dropping a game to one of them

CMR is a nice guy and runs the program in a positive manner but the numbers don't lie and it is clear the program is in decline.
It would be one thing if he was pulling a Bowden or Osbourne and getting close and losing tough games by a wide right/left.
They keep losing big when it matters most.
Hell Dabo @ CU at least keeps it close when the Tigers are Clemsoning it up.

The best I can hope for is Georgia beats UF and crushes Tech.
One victory in 8 years and those fair weather idiots start chirping.

Yep, when asked a question about his system having problems after loses to ND and Duke, he responded "the system is fine. it's the players"
He completely threw the QB under the bus.

The system can be stopped when defenders play their responsibilities and don't over pursue.

I think the players would like some revenge, but it remains to be seen whether it can be translated to actual on the field play.

Georgia has proven one thing over Richt's tenure, they will struggle against Florida regardless of their ranking.  Problem is, they struggle even more against really good Florida teams, so this one will be a tough call.  Richt is 5-9 against Florida, and only once in those 5 wins did they beat a higher ranked Florida team (2012).  That means they have beaten a higher ranked Florida team one time in Richt's 15 years.  Four times they've faced unranked Florida teams, and lost two of them.  They've lost three times to lower ranked Florida teams, the most painful being the '02 game.  I remember that game like it was yesterday, an undefeated Georgia team faced a 3-loss Florida team ranked #22 in the country.  Richt, in a preview of bonehead calls for the next 13 years, brought in DJ Shockley to replace a very effective David Greene.  Shockley quickly threw a 47-yard pick-6, Georgia ends up going 0-13 on 3rd downs, and loses the game 20-13.  Greene never looked the same after the Shockley INT...  Richt was 0-1 vs Spurrier (6-5 w/ Spurrier at USC), 1-2 against Zook (yes, Ron Freakin' Zook), 1-5 against Urban Meyer, and 3-1 against Will Muschamp.

It all hinges on QB play, though.  If Lambert and Ramsey continue to struggle, then it may be a repeat of the Alabama game.  Florida has a very good defense, and will put everything against the run if Lambert is still shaky.  Of course, we will know more after this weekend in Tennessee.

Richt is the problem but Georgia will NOT fire him.
The administration and the Big $$$ donors are too afraid of UGA wandering the wildness like Tennessee has done since they fired Fulmer.
Firing Richt would have the nut jobs saying it was the crucifixion of a good Christian man.

The slightly above average record, second tier bowls and big game blow outs will continue until CMR retires.
My last best hope is that he retires when hits 20 years in another 4 seasons.

On the bright side, no Georgia player tweeter challenged a teammate and no one stole any Keystone Light.
At least Bama's victory put my wife in a good mood.

Funny b/c it's true

Wish the kid the best...but he'll become another example of how attitude doesn't overcome ability in getting to the NFL. He was given every possible opportunity and basically told AU and the coaches to "fuck off." He forced the issue. I feel no sorrow for the kid at this point.

Some articles after the fact indicate he was a cancer of sorts...so hopefully it'll help revitalize our offense (lol...one can hope...). But he loafed on the field if he wasn't getting the ball. Didn't block for shit on the perimeter...apparently that was below him (and lack of WR blocking kills our run game...).

There is a risk with any hire.
It can be meditated by not hiring Lame Kiffin for anything ever or unproven 2nd tier coaches (Dooley)
Florida took a risk and lost with Muschamp but they stopped bleeding last year when they fired him last year.
Look at how quickly AU changed coaches when Chizik's team crapped out.

Given Georgia's talent and resources, it less of risk than Tennessee or Texas.
It's more on par with Florida hiring McElwain or Auburn hiring Malzahn.
The coach not the program was the bigger problem in both cases.

I think it would be a mistake.  I think it is way too easy for Georgia to fall behind Alabama, Auburn, Florida, et al in the recruiting battles.  A recruiter like Richt is hard to come by.  I understand Georgia's frustration in his game management, but Georgia would be better off in hiring better coordinators than in getting rid of Richt.  I think Georgia is almost in exactly the position Texas was in with Mack Brown, and Texas is now 4th or 5th in recruiting in Texas because of the change.

South Carolina moves game vs. LSU to Baton Rouge after flooding

The South Carolina Gamecocks have decided to give up Saturday's home game against No. 7 LSU because of devastating floods that have hit the state, instead moving the game to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

"We made the extremely difficult decision to cancel classes for the week due to the stress 34,000 students would place on the region's recovering infrastructure, there is no doubt 85,000 fans would exact the same toll," University of South Carolina president Harris Pastides said in a statement. "In the spirit of supporting our South Carolina community that is so supportive of Gamecock Nation, we have decided to move the game to Baton Rouge.

"The stress on law enforcement and first responders is too great. Moreover, we've had many in the Carolina family directly impacted by the flooding."

Athletic director Ray Tanner said officials from both schools -- as well as Southeastern Conference officials -- worked together to come up with the decision.

Winning the recruiting battles means little when the team loses on the field
We have a new OC and 2nd year DC and it made little difference in the "Rainout" game last week.

Failing to act in a timely fashion a big part of TN's problem, Fulmer's last few years were not good ones on the field or in recruiting.
Same thing for Mack Brown at Texas.
Both programs waited too long.
UF doesn't seem to have suffered a drop in quality recruits during or after the Muschamp years.

Georgia is OK with "safe" mediocrity but successful programs are not.

Plus next years game is at LSU. Back to back trips to LSU. Not that it makes much difference. Fournette will have a career day, whether at LSU or at South Carolina. We are a dumpster fire right now no matter where it is played.

It had to be held somewhere else.  There is no way SCar can host a game this weekend.

LSU -14 seems like a very good play now.  It will probably be over 20 by kickoff.

Unless LSU wants to do the classy thing and let them play that game in South Carolina since this one will be in Baton Rouge, but I doubt they will.

I think that's definitely one of the driving factors. UGA doesn't want to fall into irrelevancy for 7+ years like Tennessee.

She ain't no Tammy

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Dawgs SIC EM' Woof! Woof! Woof! Mediocrity! Mediocrity! Mediocrity!

Bobby was a "good man" too.  But at the end of the day it comes down to wins. The boosters forced him to fire his son Jeff. Eventually the boosters forced the University to get rid of Bobby.

It was the right move. It was done in a very shitty way, but it was the right thing for the program.

Bottom line, nothing will change until CMR decides to retire.

It's likely the coordinators that we have now are improvements over what we've had on offense and defense in the past.  I think it's possible for the coordinators to overcome "Richt" and change the mentality/preparedness of the team to win a championship but I don't think it's any guarantee.  I'm firmly in the camp of those Georgia fans that don't think firing Richt would necessarily be a positive.  Elite level coaches like Saban, Meyer, Carroll, Harbough are not exactly falling out of the sky.  There are a ton of coaches that are second tier like Richt.  Gene Chizik won a BCS Championship at Auburn.  He's not an elite coach, he's an ok coach that had the right circumstances, great players, and great coordinators in the right place at the right time.  Les Miles, Jimbo Fisher, Bob Stoops.

I would imagine they would at least keep the same time slot for TV purposes.
Sucks for Scar though. The only advantage they had taken away.

That's the first thing that popped in my mind also.
Line is turned off in the Vegas books right now.
I would expect it to reopen around 17-18 minimum and possibly move to 20-21 by game time.
