She is unbelievably intelligent, protective, sweet, and a big baby.  She was given up by her first owner, a lady that had NEVER OWNED A DOG BEFORE.  When she hit 75 lbs at 9 months she gave up.  Got her from a trainer that I know through friends.

"Alabama Big Girl" is her name.

I saw a guy at the park walking his Cane Corso.  I thought my bullmastiff was a big solid dog, but the cane corso is like The Rock standing next to Jimmy Kimmel.

I just had an applicant for one of my rentals that has one.  We allow pets, but not so sure about that beast.

@Dog1 - your lab about 6-7 years old?

Just a fancy pit bull.  You and everyone you know will soon be dead.  I know, GD told me.

Kidding!  They are not for a weak owner but they can be awesome dogs.

If I go big for the next dog, it's looking like this or a Fila.

5 years... she got gray earlier than our last lab did.

We lost our last lab, Boomer, due to osteosarcoma.  She was 8 years old when she died and she didn't have nearly the amount of gray that Riley has now.

Considered a Cane Corso last year but we've had such good luck with Rottweilers through the years.  I brought Klaus home about this time last year (8-weeks-old).

My GF lives in MidTown Miami where everybody brings dogs into places.  Standing in the self-checkout at target and some <100# lady had one standing behind us.  She was tensing on the leash, but he was cool looking.

We made it out alive.

Yes, it is, in some cases. The only time I have ever been bitten completely for no reason whatsoever was by my buddy's Cane Corso. He did let go right away, though. The wounds took 6 months to heal. Same dog bit another friend straight out of the blue. Felt like a had for my buddy.

Here's mine!!!

She's getting older and floppy ears for the win. We adopted ours from a Corso rescue. She's the most mellow dog in the world and in the 6 years we've had her, she's only barked 5 times. She's vocal, but only barks in serious situations and boy is it one deep, loud bark.

As for the drool, mine shakes and it goes flying in 360...there's some on the wall, ceiling, someone got it in the face, it's pretty thick.

Oh! Do want!  Well, kinda.  A Dobie might be my next dog.  I know it's an apples to oranges comparison, but dayum!  I gotta feed that beast.

Maybe a smaller dog might fit the budget a bit better.

Tossed around the idea of getting one. Still might someday, although I think i’d prefer a Boerboel if i’m going for bigger than I am and territorial.

@fatmat1 We are Rottweiler fans too. Best dogs I've ever had. My wife has turned our Thor into such a baby, it's funny. But God help anyone who comes near the house or us, unless we invite them in. I think a great team would be a Rottweiler and a Cane Corso, though. Awesome dogs.

All of the South African guys I worked with in Saudi have Boerboels to watch their families when they are away at work. Nothing but praise for the breed. If I ever find myself working abroad again I will probably get one to leave with Mrs. Hoji.
