Wow, $189.50. I bought my first Colt AR15 in 1993 at $430.00. $189.50 in 1965 works out to $1295 today... and that's MSRP. Not far off the mark considering that a 6920 is readily available today for less than $1100 and sometimes less than $1000. Mine was a blue label Sporter. |
| Bought one when I got back from Vietnam in 1973. I remember the price, $237.50, because it was more than half of my monthly pay as an Spec. 4. I also bought my first Harley (Sportster) through the Pacific Exchange System before I left SE Asia. and that was a little over $2000 delivered! I did save a bit of money while in RVN, but it was still a boatload of $$ back then. |
