My now deceased grandfather was given a gift of Armagnac many years ago, (over 30) I'm trying to find out about it's history.  He was in either Germany or France at the time the gift was given.  The words on the bottle are:

Armagnac
Grande Reserve hors d age
oppellation armagnac confrolei
A R Barriere Freres
40° 2.5L

If you can tell me anything about this bottle or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
Here is a low quality photo of the bottle if anyone recognizes it.

I posted this over at wine spectator also, no hits, this must be very rare, we thought it would be worth a few thousand.

Don't know anything about your bottle, but I love Armangnac.

Make a Pousse Rapier, yummy!

I had to look that one up, sounds good.  We just drink this straight on special occasions. It's very smooth.
