I am going to a graduation party for a HS senior going to college and ROTC. Any suggestions for a good gift? Maybe something that he can use in ROTC? Any suggestions?

A simple reliable mechanical watch that will last a lifetime. I'll forego mentioning brands/models as that is up to the buyer but it's a relatively short list. (and, no, not a Sub, those are on every frat boys wrists already).

Put aside the money you’d be spending now for an actual gift when he commissions. Or actually does something.

OP, let's hope he had a decent HS education because your title makes no sense-
Gift for a young man graduation form college and starting ROTC So, you are looking for a gift. It is for a young man graduating not graduation. "Form" college is weird so I am guessing he is graduating "from" college. But he then wants to start ROTC. He is a little late for that, if he is graduating college already. |

Find the nearest dry cleaners to where he will be. Put a $300 tab on it for him.

Quality multi-tool? My experience with Gerber multi-tools hasn’t been positive so I recommend a different brand. I had a supervisor that used to stalk the local pawn shops for killer deals on new multi-tools, BTW.

Fix the tread title. Apparently he is graduating FROM high school and going to college where he will do ROTC stuff.
Actually an Animal House DVD would be useful. |

ROTC is done as a College level class.
OCS is after College (Officer Candidate School) I would suggest he join the Air National Guard go to basic go enlisted and as traditional Guard do monthly weekend drill and summer camp, while the Air Guard pays for him to go to College. Running Shoes |

Are you sure which one he is going into - Army ROTC, Navy ROTC, or Air Force ROTC?
You didn't mention it so I'm not sure you realize there is more than one path. |

Nice knife that he can use. OP has a endless choice to fit any budget for the gift. Folder will probably be most useful to him unless he is going out to baton things and fight wolves.

An analog alarm clock and a non-smart watch that makes no beeps.

Get him a red filter for his flashlight. Light discipline at all times.
